Music theory and/or music history lessons for all ages!

My name is Lisa and I am currently in my 2nd master's degree for violin with Lilia Umnova at the LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens conservatory. I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! All is being done with gentle care towards your body's physiology and feelings, and consideration of your learning style. :)) Finally, I'm at your disposal in between the lessons, answering to any questions you might have and offering you support and guidance with your new insights! :D

I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

I have more than 15 years of studies and more than 6 years of experience in teaching music (introduction to music, music theory, music theory, intonation, listening, chamber music ...) and more particularly flute and piccolo. I also prepare for conservatory and / or academy exams. I have also played in many orchestras such as the "Orquesta Sinfónica de España". All ages and levels are welcome. Pianolessen aangepast aan uw smaak en niveau. U zegt wat u verwacht van de lessen zodat ik u optimaal pianoles kan geven. Bijvoorbeeld: u wilt pianostukken leren lezen en spelen. Hierbij moet ik de relevante theorie aan u ook geven. Extra theorie is aan u de keuze om in te studeren, maar het hoeft niet. Mijn lessen zijn dus efficiënt gericht. Als leerling kan u uiteindelijk zelf kiezen aan welke pianostukken we werken(eerst moet het goedgekeurd worden door mij), zodat het piano spelen leuk en leerrijk blijft. Ik behandel klassiek muziek, pop muziek, videogame, movie, anime muziek etc… veel genres dus! Een ander voorbeeld: u wilt een piano cover maken van een bestaand stuk(bv. pop muziek of movie muziek). Ik zal u de theorie meegeven van akkoorden en het lezen van notenbalken. Zo kan u al snel aan de slag gaan. Samen gaan we voldoende oefenen zodat je alles goed begrijpt! Ook kunnen we samen improviseren op je piano. Stuur gerust een bericht als u vragen heeft :) Ik heb al privé les gegeven aan volwassenen, tieners en kinderen zowel online als fysiek. Beide opties werken uitstekend! Online doen we via Skype of een ander app indien gewenst. Fysiek doen we in Leuven stad (bij uw thuis). Idealiter geef ik 1 keer in de week les, je oefent thuis dan verder op je piano tegen de volgende les in de week erna. Indien u wenst voor om de week les of 2 keer in de week les, dan kan dat ook voor mij. Waarom kiezen om piano te leren spelen? Het is wetenschappelijk bewezen dat een instrument bespelen iemand slimmer maakt(goede hersentraining). Je kan je pianoskills laten tonen aan anderen maar je kan jezelf ook blij maken en belonen door middel van je piano. Ik heb van mijn vrienden gehoord dat ze spijt hebben dat ze geen instrument hebben leren spelen, hopelijk word jij niet zoals hun… Je leeft maar 1 keer! Waar wacht je nog op? Hopelijk tot dan! ^_^

In onze lessen heb je de keuze om klassieke muziek, populaire muziek, jazz, improvisatie, notenleer en (gevorderde) muziektheorie te leren. Dit op basis van het niveau en de behoeften van de leerlingen. . . . Hi! As a bachelors student Jazz - Piano at the LUCA School Of Arts, Campus Lemmens, I am eager to teach you how to navigate your fingers on the keys or propel you forward if you're already an experienced piano player. In our lessons you have to option to learn classical music, popular music, jazz, how to improvise, solfege and (advanced) music theory. This based on the students level and needs.

This lesson is especially for the hobby-musician (in the making). My goal is to teach the student how to play in playing the Saxophone, be it in classical music, pop, jazz, ... of my students, I expect them to have fun playing music and that they show it by doing their best without having to be a rut to play the instrument.

Voice Lessons will focus on five major areas of study: register balance, breathing, range building, body posture, and repertoire. During your lessons you will learn exercises designed to balance the registers of chest, middle and head voice. These exercises and the knowledge of music theory will help you accomplish any music goal you set for yourself.

My name is Margo and I'm a violin student in my last year, and I'm getting my violin master's degree this year. I have been giving private violin and solfège lessons since 2018. (Solfege is included in the violin lessons anyway, and being able to read music is not a requirement) All levels and ages are welcome! Hours are flexible and I teach in my apartment in the center of Leuven. Lessons in English are also possible.

Reading, understanding, playing and writing music. I offer lessons for children and adults, no matter the level. In my lessons, in addition to learning technique and the instrumental repertoire (clarinet), you learn the language of music in all its facets (solfeggio, rhythmics, dictation, harmony, elements of composition). The method I use varies for each individual student and depends not only on his/her level, but on what interests him/her most and what serves his/her artistic growth. I am Ezio, I am Italian and I moved to Belgium to continue my studies. I have a degree in clarinet, I also studied conducting for wind orchestras, musical propaedeutics and also theatre and theatre therapy. I have worked with youth bands and taught in two music schools in Sicily. I am always interested in new methodologies and everything that can make learning not only functional, but also a real pleasure.

I am a flute player based in Leuven. I obtained my master degree in flute in September 2020 at LUCA School of Arts and I am currently beginning bachelor music therapy. In 2017 I obtained my diploma in Pedagogical Formation. As a teacher I have taught flute in different schools and to students of any age. Due to my pedagogical studies in Dokuz Eylül University, I have full knowledge of training approaching to students in different age ranges. I welcome learners of all skill levels, from beginners who are completely new, to those with some childhood experience, to the advanced level players who need of fresh inspiration. I believe that everyone has an ear for music to some degree and that anyone can learn how to play succesfully. I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop. The lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English or Turkish.
