FernanLearn and discover Music Production, Vibraphone & Keyboards
The moment of engagement between the performer and the listener it is the most intense feeling I’ve ever felt. It is a very unexpected moment, it just happens and there you are holding your instrument in front of people you are sharing your performance with. Suddenly everyone is waiting for you to continue the story you have been telling and everyone is just at the same time on the same place and you have what they need: a message they want to hear and they know you will share it with them. So once you do you reach that sensation, that moment, and what happens afterwards it is magic! It is absolutely wonderful how one, a hundred or even thousands of humans can be on hold for the same message and once it is delivered they just feel it the same exactly way as you do.
This sensation is not only happening on a performance but also on a teaching situation. I’ve been teaching for some year from children to adults and I discovered that if you put all your energy all your love and passion and you give it all as a teacher or as a student you can reach this magical communication levels! Which makes a lesson such an experience! That is why as a teacher I am mostly focused on creativity and trough it the discoveries of your instrument always basing this process on your goals and ambitions which are the most important pillars of a musician!!

AkanePiano Lessons with two Grand Pianos. Preparations for ABRSM and Competition.
There are two grand pianos at the location. There will be enough distance between the student and the teacher.
For children it is important to develop basic musical skill through Singing, Rythmique and Ear training besides the piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, a main text book and a theory book. Through these 3 books students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grade.
After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercise too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain deeper understanding of classical pieces too.
Private Piano lesson, from age 4 above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the number from 1 to 5 and alphabet from A to G.
Advanced students who wants to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams or the entrance exam of conservatory.
Concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin and composition teachers.
For the age 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.
TalíaPiano, Harpsichord, Solfège & Music theory lessons in The Hague/ Den Haag
Piano and harpsichord lessons for beginners, amateurs, and students at intermediate level.
In the lessons I work in a balanced way between the repertoire, exercises and improvisation. I always seek to adapt to the wishes and needs of the students, and because of the flexibility that this requires I do not stick to one specific method, unless the student asks for it.
JoãoDo you want do learn how to play the piano? Jazz or classical? Piano, harpsichord and keyboard lessons!
I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old. By that time I already could feel I would become a professional musician and teacher. I got my first bachelor in piano in 2007. When I was 13 years old, I started having harpsichord lessons and expanding my knowledge of classical and early music. In 2012 I got my bachelor degree in harpsichord and in 2014 my master degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Currently, I’m working with my ensemble, teaching piano and harpsichord, and am now doing my Ph.D. in Performative Arts at Leiden University
I absolutely love to teach and pass my experience as a musician to my students on both instruments. I like to see them improving and have fun while playing.
I work with several ways of teaching, depending on the student level and music background.
Normally I work with piano methods with kids from 9 -12 years old. I can teach music theory if necessary and if it will improve the student’s needs to progress and reach their goals, I do that with pleasure. Harmony and a bit of keyboard improvisation are also very welcome to the class.
My specialty is classical music, more specifically, baroque music, although I have notions of pop, jazz, and improvisation. Because I have sporting and personal training backgrounds, I’m specialized also on correcting postures and eventually avoid or solve pain issues when regarding playing.
PetraViolin or Piano lessons for all ages in The Hague.
I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. I took piano as my second instrument of study. I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. I also have given musicianship and aural (ear) training classes. I am currently studying a masters in music education at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement.
Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories.
I am happy to teach online lessons as well as in-person lessons. In my online lessons, I have the same approach to music lessons, ie. Singing and movements are still incorporated in the lessons. In teaching (particularly in the online format where in-person demonstrations are not possible) I also sometimes compile videos for the students to use to help with practising.
In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.
CeliaProfessional pianist, Piano Teacher and Music Therapy student offer music and piano lessons in the Netherlands. Good quality :)
Piano performance & Music therapy
Hello! My name is Celia. I’m from Spain and I’m currently studying Music Therapy at the Rotterdam conservatory.
I recently become a Music Therapy intern at Florence, The Hague.
I obtained my bachelor diploma in piano performance in 2016.
I have performed concerts as a soloist, in duet with other pianists and in bigger ensembles/orchestras.
Since I moved to the Netherlands, I’m also part of a music trio where we perform pop, jazz, arrangements and compositions from our singer. All these experiences together give me for sure a big capacity of working repertoire and understand the different needs of my students as a teacher! 🙂
As I’m in education as a therapist, I also use all my knowledge in combination with Music Therapy skills with all my students and especially with people who demand a different experience during a music lesson. Free and guided improvisations, active play, and receptive music therapy are some of the techniques I currently use.
Music Therapy techniques allow you to play music without any knowledge of theory, so it’s very useful when in the middle of the lesson you need a break or when you just need to connect with yourself, for example. You can always have a trial session if Music Therapy triggers your curiosity 😉
Learn & explore
During more than 10 years of experience as a teacher, I have worked all kind of people: children, adults, people with disabilities, families… I’m quite flexible and able to adapt my way of teaching to the circumstances!
I like to work individually and in groups. Each way has its own advantages!
In my lessons I use all methods I could experiment myself among my piano career; I’m also always open for new knowledge, repertoire and ways of working what my students may propose me. It’s fascinating how I never stop learning new repertoire and music styles thanks to my students!
I try to offer music in a different way for every student according to their needs, with creativity and a relaxed ambience where the student can learn and explore. Each person has his/her own rhythm… which in my opinion is very important to respect.
I also work with music theory, explaining concepts to my students from the pieces we play. I find this way is effective, instructive and much more motivating 🙂
In my lessons, we can work on classical, jazz, pop, arrangements, 4-hands piano music, improvisation and much more!
Music needs a bit of commitment. It’s like a plant: a bit of water every day is much better than a lot of water just one day per week! However, every plant is different, and in the end, the important thing is that you feel happy and motivated during your learning process. This is also important for me, so for sure I always try my best to help my students in that aspect. The enjoyment of music (and everything) makes you learn much faster, don’t you think?
Feel free to ask any kind of question! :)
