Hi, my name is Sophie, I am a recent graduate in International and European law at the University of Groningen and language tutor in my free time. My mother tongue is German, but I speak English fluently due to my work, studies and life abroad. I would like to help you improve your conversational English, writing, grammar & co. My whole school career I focused on learning languages and as language student I know what difficulties one faces, therefore I can give plenty of study tips and grammar advice. I have five years of experience working with children from 6-12 years old and love to help them understand new things in a playful but efficient manner. Dear Student, I am an Indian masters student at the RUG, and I am able to speak the following languages fluently: English; Arabic; Hindi. English is my first language as I have been speaking this language over my native language. In addition, I have Certifications which prove my English language skills (Spoken and written) are up to the mark. Furthermore, I also teach Drama lessons such as improvisation and originally devised scripts to younger student to build their confidence at a young age in order to prevent shyness and overall introverted personalities, which in this day and age, makes you seem anti-social. My language and skills training are for all student from children to adults. Adults (younger ones included) can benefit from presentation skills at work or university, professional pitch which may come in handy when you have a million dollar idea you want to discuss! If you want to work on your writing skills, I can also review your work and help you get better at writing. To start we will discuss your experience with English to see what your current level of English is. We will set a goal, the level of English you wish to acquire, and the lessons will build to that. Do expect some sort of homework, or some form of exercise, mostly in the form of a funny video or show to watch, but if you want to focus on writing skills as well, it will also include writing tasks. I will personally create the lessons to fit your current level and will work with you to reach your goal!
