Guitar workshops: personalized lessons / private training
Folk or classical acoustic guitar.
The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.
For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…).
For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (…).
Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:
-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords
- Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand
- Learning of different pieces of your choice
- Left hand control exercises, speed and precision
- Learning arpeggios
- Work around muscle memory
- Learning improvisation, musical play with others
- Ear training: use your ears to find chords, melodies, sounds and techniques used
-Spend a pleasant moment of exchange, without unnecessary institutional pressure, while obtaining concrete results
-Understand and discover the many facets of an exciting and user-friendly instrument
- Benefit from personalized advice on your posture and certain pitfalls to avoid when starting alone
-Adjust and clarify your self-taught knowledge
- Learn tablatures / tabs & in English.
Note :
- Possibility to use the guitar available on site, during the test phase.
- As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy.
- Possibility of offering this course (birthday, party, Christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice.
THE TEACHER :
Trained in Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League university in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 15 years, in Europe and North America, in the field, in renowned international public and private establishments, with careful pedagogy and methodology as the watchwords.
PLACES :
- Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.
Giorgos
I'm a professional classical guitarist, student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels, and i give guitar, theory and solfege lessons
Hello everyone
I'm Giorgos and i teach classical guitar!
I the past, the guitar was considered a very royal instrument and is still considered one of the most widely used instruments to accompany with. The repertoire and possibilities are huge, and i like to structure my lessons based on what you like to listen to and to play.
I've been teaching for a long time and i'm very comfortable with it, and i enjoy seeing people get passionate about the instrument. It's a great hobby and a great calling to follow!
Depending on your knowledge level, you will learn how to play chords, basic pieces, technique exercises and etudes to forward your technique, right hand technique and rasgueados (special spanish flamenco "fan" strumming), and also you'll learn how to correctly read a score, we'll talk about scales and music theory, so as to not only learn to play the pieces, but also hear music in a different way with deeper understanding.
I teach at my place, at yours, or via Skype and Zoom!
I'll be happy to meet you ^^
Eleni
Violin lessons for children and adults. Fun classes for the little ones.
Hello,
my name is Eleni and I am a violin teacher and violinist. Having taught the violin for 20 years and knowing in depth different instrumental techniques and different teaching methods, I can adapt my teaching to the needs, age and character of each student. In addition, my educational background combined with the unique experience and knowledge given to me by my relatively recent motherhood and my love for children and other human beings, has led me to pursue positive teaching with empathy towards the student who aims to make him happy, to love music and to acquire a solid basis for his overall development! I am also able to teach with the Suzuki method. I teach children from the age of 3 and even adults. I organize concerts for my students at least twice a year. Classes are in French, English and Greek. For more information do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
Mélina
Private lessons of Violin and Musical Formation.
Violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the IMEP of Namur, I give violin lessons at all levels, all ages, from 5 years old for children.
With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake.
Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis.
An instrument lesson usually lasts one hour. If necessary, I can cut the time between Violin and Musical Training / History.
My rates are 29/hour at my home (Schaerbeek), 35 if I travel.

Chiara
Violon, musique - French, English, Italian, Spanish
In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music.
I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil.
I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time.
Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change.
I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music.
I give lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Violin of the Middle East - Shalan Alhamwy (Muziekpublique)
The violin is one of the star elements of Middle Eastern music. The violin makes it possible to sing, to accompany other instruments. It is a key instrument of Arab orchestras.
In these classes, we will approach the traditional instrumental repertoire with an original point of view, analyzing all scales, ornaments and elements of virtuosity.
Shalan is a Syrian violinist and composer. Although he was educated as a classical violinist, he has performed in several orchestras and ensembles of Arabic music, with some of the most outstanding Arab singers such as Fairouz, Marcel Khalifa, Rima Khsaish and others.
The academy offers more than 50 courses of traditional music and dance from around the world. From the oud to the kora through the gypsy guitar, the tango violin or the Brazilian drums, all classes are given by professional musicians and dancers in different locations in Brussels. Each teacher cultivates his own pedagogical approach. Music theory is not necessary for a good part of the courses, since learning is often based on oral transmission, as it is the case for many cultures of the world. The offer also offers comprehensive classes and classes for children or young people.

Very involved in the chamber music repertoire, Gabriele founded in 2018 with the pianist Julien Lejeune the Duo Aréthuse, in which they explore the romantic French and contemporary Italian repertoire, in search of an interpretation marked by accuracy, simplicity and of modernity. They are at the initiative of the creation in 2019 of the Hellens Ensemble, consisting of a string quartet, a piano and a lyrical singer, an ensemble with which they are interested in Belgian music and more particularly to the repertoire with voice.
Gabriele also studied at the University of Padua at the Faculty of History and Musicology.
