I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

Graduated in Music - Having studied piano (classical) at the University of Évora (Portugal), Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Aquiles Delle Vigne International Music Academy. She is currently studying a Masters in Performance at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, Belgium. I have a lot of experience in teaching piano and music theory in different musical styles and theoretical/musical training from children to adults, in official conservatories, music schools and private lessons, In my classes I try to share my musical knowledge, both practically and theoretically. The courses are aimed at those who want to have more direct contact with music, whether for the first time or not. I take great pleasure in teaching and I give great importance to each student. I like to choose repertoire that matches both student's musical tastes and technical work in need. I always try to encourage students and provide quality teaching. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress. Pianolessen aangepast aan uw smaak en niveau. U zegt wat u verwacht van de lessen zodat ik u optimaal pianoles kan geven. Bijvoorbeeld: u wilt pianostukken leren lezen en spelen. Hierbij moet ik de relevante theorie aan u ook geven. Extra theorie is aan u de keuze om in te studeren, maar het hoeft niet. Mijn lessen zijn dus efficiënt gericht. Als leerling kan u uiteindelijk zelf kiezen aan welke pianostukken we werken(eerst moet het goedgekeurd worden door mij), zodat het piano spelen leuk en leerrijk blijft. Ik behandel klassiek muziek, pop muziek, videogame, movie, anime muziek etc… veel genres dus! Een ander voorbeeld: u wilt een piano cover maken van een bestaand stuk(bv. pop muziek of movie muziek). Ik zal u de theorie meegeven van akkoorden en het lezen van notenbalken. Zo kan u al snel aan de slag gaan. Samen gaan we voldoende oefenen zodat je alles goed begrijpt! Ook kunnen we samen improviseren op je piano. Stuur gerust een bericht als u vragen heeft :) Ik heb al privé les gegeven aan volwassenen, tieners en kinderen zowel online als fysiek. Beide opties werken uitstekend! Online doen we via Skype of een andere app indien gewenst. Fysiek doen we in Leuven stad (bij mij of bij u. Indien buiten de ring van Leuven, bij mij binnen de ring). Idealiter geef ik 1 keer in de week les, je oefent thuis dan verder op je piano tegen de volgende les in de week erna. Indien u wenst voor om de week les of 2 keer in de week les, dan kan dat ook voor mij. Waarom kiezen om piano te leren spelen? Het is wetenschappelijk bewezen dat een instrument bespelen iemand slimmer maakt(goede hersentraining). Je kan je pianoskills laten tonen aan anderen, maar je kan jezelf ook blij maken en belonen door middel van je piano. Ik heb van mijn vrienden gehoord dat ze spijt hebben dat ze geen instrument hebben leren spelen, hopelijk word jij niet zoals hun… Je leeft maar 1 keer! Waar wacht je nog op? Hopelijk tot dan! ^_^

I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience. Classes: Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility. Sinds ik 4 jaar oud ben, neemt piano een grote plaats in mijn leven en hart, doordat mijn vader me sindsdien heeft lesgegeven. Ik ben enorm enthousiast om mijn passie te kunnen delen met geïnteresseerden, wat hun leeftijd ook is! Ik let veel op de positie aan de piano, zodat er geen injuries zouden opkomen. Ik praat ook veel over muzikale lijnen en hoe een goede klank produceren piano op. Als u geen notenleer heeft gevolg, ben ik heel blij om daar ook mee te helpen samen met de pianostudie. Piano spelen is voor ieder heel persoonlijk, zowel technisch als muziekaal. Daarom vind ik het heel belangrijk om de beste oplossingen te zoeken en me aan te passen aan elke individual leerling, zodat hij of zij zijn eigen band met muziek kan creëren. Ik ben momenteel mijn Master aan het afmaken bij Jan Vermeulen in Luca School of Arts, Leuven.

In onze lessen heb je de keuze om klassieke muziek, populaire muziek, jazz, improvisatie, notenleer en (gevorderde) muziektheorie te leren. Dit op basis van het niveau en de behoeften van de leerlingen. . . . Hi! As a bachelors student Jazz - Piano at the LUCA School Of Arts, Campus Lemmens, I am eager to teach you how to navigate your fingers on the keys or propel you forward if you're already an experienced piano player. In our lessons you have to option to learn classical music, popular music, jazz, how to improvise, solfege and (advanced) music theory. This based on the students level and needs.

Voice Lessons will focus on five major areas of study: register balance, breathing, range building, body posture, and repertoire. During your lessons you will learn exercises designed to balance the registers of chest, middle and head voice. These exercises and the knowledge of music theory will help you accomplish any music goal you set for yourself.

I've been playing the piano since I was 10. But at the music academy I learned piano in a very scholastic way. We always had to learn scores, which you spend a lot of time on, and once you could do it perfectly, you already had to switch to another piece. I got tired of this and started improvising. I now make my own songs and I prefer to play the piano more than ever before. I would like to share this with other people as well. I do this in combination with solfège, so that everyone has the basics. The lessons consist of 70-80% solfège and piano pieces (I work with piano books) and then we conclude with 20-30% improvisation. Improvisation is experienced by all my students as the most enjoyable part of the lesson.

EN I teach both classical and pop piano to students from all levels and needs. Besides that, I can also help you with reading music, learning the notes, chords and the basic music theory, and improvising music. Whether you're just starting out as a piano player, or are an experienced player who wishes to improve their playing, I can offer tutoring. If you have never played the piano, or are just starting out, I can teach you the basics of playing - the right technique, posture and exercises which will develop your playing skills, as well as the theory which will help you understand what you are playing. If you are an advanced player, I can offer advice on how to improve, show you advanced techniques and exercises to further your musical path, as well as teach you theory and how to incorporate it in your playing.

I am a master's student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. I give piano lessons at my home (Kessel-lo or in Herent) on a grand piano (also possible on location (+ extra fee)) The lessons last 1 hour (recommended), also possibility up to 30 minutes. Open for beginners to advanced pianists, young and old :) I prefer classical music, for me this is the basis for playing the piano.
