I divide the class into parts in order to do speaking, listening, reading and grammar, giving more emphasis on those that are more difficult for them and trying to make improvements in those parts where they have more ability.

Hi there! My name is Paula and I'm currently living and working in Barcelona.
It would be a pleasure to help other people who want to learn my language as much as I loved learning English when I was younger (it seems that I'm super old but nah, I'm just 23). I've been living in several countries in the past and worked in international companies, and that has made me open-minded, confident and comfortable when working with people from all countries.

Education

I studied Communication in Seville (my home city) and what I liked the most during my studies, was teaching English or Spanish to earn some money. It's the first job I had and since then, even though my main expertise is Marketing, I love combining my actual job with language classes.

Besides this, as a marketing and communication professional, I've done several courses that made me more proficient in my communication skills, and I believe this helped me a lot when teaching, developing new skills to transmit my knowledge to my students in a practical and dynamical way.

Experience / Qualifications

My first time as a Spanish teacher was 7 years ago. I worked as an Au Pair for 2 children and their parents wanted to me to teach them Spanish. After that experience, I've never stopped teaching. Why? Because I found that I'm good at it and I really enjoy helping others to learn my native language but also English.
My classes have always been individual because each person is different in the learning process, but I've also worked in a language academy, giving intensives course to diverse groups (different age and level between them), so I'm used to this as well.
I know, from personal experience that learning something like a language is difficult, but If you have the motivation and a motivated teacher (as me:) everything is possible. The key is, for me, basically having personalised classes for each student, but following a pattern based on dynamical, fun and productive classes.
