Russian is quite difficult compared to other languages. Although, that doesn't mean it's impossible to learn. With beginners we get started with basic rules, the most used vocabulary and practice pronunciation. Advanced students will concentrate on Grammar, which is neatly collected in VLLeonovich's book (one of the best books for college level preparatory students). Also of great importance are Russian literature and the ability to analyze it. About myself: I am a 5VWOer who knows how difficult it is to learn a foreign language.
