Nowadays a good command of English is useful and often even necessary. We come in contact with the language almost everywhere, in school, on television, the internet, in conversations.

As a native German speaker I once had to learn the language as well and I know how challenging it can be. I already majored in English at school. After school, I went to a language school in the United States in order to prepare for the TOEFL language certificate. Thereafter I started a bachelor program which was held entirely in English. During my studies I learnt a lot about academic writing practices.
Often, the lessons in school focus on grammar and vocabulary failing to to convey a basic understanding of the language. Conversation and writing fall short as well.

I am offering lessons for children and teenagers. My goal is to support their learning experience in an engaging way. We will discuss what you need and how I can help you. Be it a basic introduction, grammar or conversational training. I also offer proofreading.

Lessons can also be taught via Skype.

English has become the Lingua Franca of our times. It's a valuable skill to possess, beneficial for everyone. It comes handy in the ever-developing world that we live in and opens doors to many places, also in the mind. Additionally, bilingualism enhances the cognitive skills.

Whether you'd like to improve your speaking skills and break the language barrier or you wish to prepare better for an English exam, I come to an aid.

In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. Merhaba! I am an enthusiastic teacher who has been teaching Turkish for foreigners and children whose native language is Turkish but need to improve it. Having experience with both teenagers and adults, I specialize in tutoring Turkish based on four skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

Doubts? Dutch might feel a little violent to a delicate mouth in the beginning. But once you get passed that, a sea of inspiring and quirky new ways to express yourself will open up.
