Trusted teacher: De echte Portugese ervaring! Advantages of learning a new language: Learning a new language is fun. But what I’m (and you should be) after is not bilingualism but instead biculturalism. We think by aid of words. Therefore language shapes thought. In part this is because working in a second language slows down the thinking. No wonder people feel different when speaking a second language. And no wonder they feel looser, more spontaneous, perhaps more assertive or funnier or blunter. Studies show that being able to speak another language is generally linked to a more flexible brain, developing the brain’s ability to plan and prioritize. Also it betters our defenses against dementia in old age. Advantages of learning Portuguese: • 250 million native speakers worldwide • 5th most common language in the world • It has been an official language since 1297 • It’s usage is spread over 4 continents (Europe, South America, Africa, Asia) Now business, The pace, duration, frequency and schedule of the classes is totally up to the student to decide. The best case scenario is 1-2x per week depending on both parties availability. Focus on diverse subjects is possible, for example, grammar, diction, reading comprehension, written production, conversational skills. In case the student has no specific requests, together we will follow the guidelines of a trusted book ( that I myself bring to the class and the student doesn’t need to acquire). The classes will rely also on bilingual children’s books and audio media. This double edged approach allows for fun learning ways and cultural assimilation. In every class the student will be directly influenced by worldwide Portuguese culture ( music, history, geography). Periodically we will evaluate how the classes are evolving so as to rapidly and effectively shift focus to where it is needed.

Trusted teacher: I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doc researcher in aerospace Engineering faculty of TU Delft. I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, and advanced engineering mathematics), Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, etc), Physics (mechanics, electricity, light, waves, etc), CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, ABAQUS, MATLAB, LS-DYNA). Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning. If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)

Trusted teacher: I'm a native English speaker from the USA, living in Rotterdam. In my job as an engineer, I regularly help colleagues with their written and spoken English. I'm available to help you practice English on a regular basis on weeknights. I specialize in working with students in professional or technical fields who are interested in refining their English writing and speaking skills. I also speak fluent Dutch, as well as some Spanish and French, so I'm familiar with common English mistakes and understand what's causing them. Examples of lessons: - Reviewing written documents together, and identifying recurring errors (work emails, proposals, reports, etc.). - General conversation practice, and presentation practice. I will listen, take notes, and provide feedback on pronunciation and grammar, while we discuss various topics. - Practice speaking exercises in preparation for IELTS exams. - Assistance with job applications (reviewing English CVs and cover letters). I do not teach beginners courses in English, as I have a full-time job and this would require longer/more intensive lessons. If you're interested, I'd love to hear a bit more about what you'd like to learn, so I can tailor the lessons to your needs: - What is your previous experience with English? - Why are you improving your English? - Do you have any specific goals? (e.g. certain topics you would like to be able to speak/write about) For our first lesson we can meet at a cafe/park/library/online, and after that we can chose the location that makes the most sense.

EN We are all babies to a new language! So, let's go out of the box and learn it according to scientifically proven ways and how the language center in our brain works. I teach Turkish and English as a second language. I have the required high education with university diploma. Years experience on teaching my own language to foreigners and have full awareness of cultural differences. I use good materials, examples and sense of humor during the lessons. You see a helper/leader rather than a strict teacher since I prefer Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) approach and +1 method in language class. I am also able to teach English by using English to any level. You may contact me without hesitation.

Violin for everyone! Books provided. ABRSM/Trinity possible (The Hague)
Mario
Mauro created the energetic vibe right the moment I stepped into the class. I studied violin with other teacher before and Mauro helped me out transit smoothly to the new teacher with his teaching method. I really like doing scales with Etude, adding much more musicality. He also observed closely when I played and helped me improve each small details. I really appreciated that. Last but not least, the studio is equipped with piano as well and I enjoyed practicing duo with Mauro either with two violins or violin-piano.

Angelika
Valentyna is an excellent teacher. She is always extremely well-prepared. The level of her lessons is very well pitched: each lesson builds on the work of the previous lesson and I am always challenged throughout the lesson. This means I have learned a lot in a very short space of time and I can see the progress I am making. Valentyna is also very friendly and the atmosphere of the classes is very good. I highly recommend learning with Valentyna

Dirk was a very dedicated tutor. I learned a lot of things from him that I didn't learn during lectures. If I ever need tutoring again, he will be the first I reach out to.
