The word "pleasure" is perhaps the most appropriate one. Founded in 2020 and designed in the heart of a stimulating and pleasant environment where you can learn music in complete freedom and with support, the school is inspired by alternative pedagogies, at the pace of the learner, respecting their learning while addressing a rich language of music, in a fun way by developing the musical ear, the instrumental practice. Forget the elitism of the conservatory. Music and school are yours! The lessons are individual and the program is to be chosen by the student.

After an apprenticeship in a music school (EMMA Lons-Le-Saunier) then obtaining a technological music school (TMD drums, Besançon), I decided to continue studying the drums at the ENM of Villeurbanne where I am currently high. My game is eclectic although my favorite style is rock in its entirety. I propose a course oriented towards the artistic engagement and the feeling. It will also be possible to approach the technique of course. I have things to offer but the student must take some initiative as to the direction he wants to take, so he will be free to propose what he wants to work.

Hello! My name is Aurel and I am a French Amsterdam-based drummer. Although currently specialized in Jazz music, I have studied various esthetics, and Pop and Rock music, in particular, are part of my background (I played in several pop-rock bands). Therefore I am able to teach a broad panel of music styles. I also have many drum methods and charts at my disposal, and have experience in teaching children from the age of 6, as well as teenagers and adults. Lessons and teaching method: I always adapt to the student's tastes and learning profiles. This is why, during the first lesson, and on a regular basis afterwards, I always take time to discuss with my students (or their parents if they are very young) to figure out together the path they want or need to follow. I will use charts and methods for those who need visual support to assimilate the skills or teach by ear and by demonstrating to the ones who feel more comfortable this way. I also play electric guitar and can jam with my students, which is a great tool for developing band playing skills or simply to have a good time. For those eager to make significant progress, I offer consistent and serious monitoring, with practice recommendations. I can for instance prepare a student for an audition or an entrance exam in a conservatory. If you are willing to improve your understanding of rhythm in general, you can also benefit from my knowledge of Indian Karnatic rhythm concepts, one of the most complete traditional approaches to rhythm. Students who simply want to learn at their pace, to have fun and unwind, are definitely welcome too! About me: In addition to my jazz drums bachelor and master degrees from the conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA), which included a thorough pedagogical training and a specialization in Indian Karnatic techniques, I benefit from 4 years of experience as an employed drum teacher in two French associative music schools (Ecole de musique de Nangis and Conservatoire des Deux Rives, Moret-sur-Loing). I am also an active musician, both on the Dutch and the French scene. My trio mainly tours in France and has played at venues such as the Sunside (Paris), or participated in competitions like the Keep An Eye International Jazz Award. I am also the co-leader of the sextet Chai Masters, finalist of several European competitions (Leiden Jazz Award, Golden Jazz Trophy in Lille, France, 7 Virtual Jazz Contest). At the rate of one session each we will focus once on technique and movements outside the drums (on pads) and the other time on the drums and the application of technique and movements. -> The technique lessons and the movements will be those of the so-called 'Moeller technique' that I learned through his direct lineage of student. -> The drum lessons are greatly inspired by the pedagogy of the M.A.I. (Music Academy International - Nancy (fr)) and in particular that of Richard-Paul Morellini, renowned instructor. The courses are complete, in-depth but above all specifically thought of to be progressive. Before we start the lessons, a specific goal is first set. This can be anything (improving technique or reading skills, learning to play a particular song, learning to play the drums in a particular style, learning a basics, etc.). When the goals have been determined, a personal route is mapped out for you to achieve them.

I am a Professional Oud and percussion (Riq) player with 10 years of expertise in live and online performance. A music tutor who have taught at the Higher Institute Of Music and several private institutes as well as teaching in many private schools for five years ( Damascus, Syria), through witch I have gathered experience to teach music in general for all ages (Children, Youth, Adults), I am fully capable of playing and teaching Oud and percussion (Riq), in addition to teaching Solfege, oriental and classical music theory and history of music.
