My name is Maria and I am a Greek singer and vocal coach, based in Utrecht. I am offering private lessons, at your place or online, in English and Greek. My singing lessons are tailored to suit all levels and styles and I offer personalized coaching to help you reach your vocal goals, build confidence, and express yourself musically.

In our lessons, we will:

- Work on vocal technique, breath control, and vocal health
- Explore different singing styles and genres, based on your interests
- Develop stage presence and performance skills
- Build your repertoire, whether you’re aiming for solo performances or singing with a group

Additionally, I offer Music Theory lessons (solfege, harmony, chord learning, ear training, etc.) to support your understanding of music. We’ll cover all the essential theory, which will help you to learn how to read music, understand scales or dive into harmony, in an engaging and practical way that will complement your singing.

Together, we will create a positive, relaxed learning environment that caters to your needs and musical interests. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, I’ll guide you through your journey at your own pace, making sure you enjoy the process!

Über mich

I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Having completed my studies in musicology and classical singing and having gained experience as a music teacher, I have been living and working as a professional musician in the Netherlands. As a vocal coach and music teacher, I love helping people discover their voice and experience the joy of singing. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, from little children to adults, and I’ve also worked extensively with choirs, guiding singers to blend their voices and create something special together. As a choir member and soloist in vocal ensembles I've had several performances throughout Greece and The Netherlands, as well as participation in well-known festivals around Europe such us Guido d' Arezzo International Choral Festival, Homelands Festival, International Choral Festival of Preveza to venues such as Philharmonie de Paris, Berliner Philharmoniker, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Athens Concert Hall among others.

I’m a calm, easy-going person with a lot of patience and kindness, dedicated to making sure you feel supported while you grow as a singer. For me, singing is more than just technique—it's a way to express yourself, connect with others, and have fun!

I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory.
It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play.

These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Singing to me is the best feeling ever. Your entire body is moving and your head is totally empty of worries. You lose who you are and transform into a new person.
One time you are a prince or princess, the other a warrior fighting a duel. Maybe you stare at a beautiful river or fall in love like never before. All of this and even crazier situations are material for songs. Singing is so much more than just notes, it is about using your fantasy and telling a story. I love this feeling so much that I want to share how you can experience all of this while singing.

In general, singing is a combination of technique (pitches and rhythm), posture, and breathing. Next to that, we have diction, acting, body language, expression, and joy! You sing because you like it!

Singing is for all ages, all levels, and I adapt my lessons to your level.

Don't worry if you can't read sheet music, it is a bonus if you can.

Looking for a piano teacher? In Utrecht you will find the friendly Spanish professional pianist Mar. She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well)
She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. For young, teenagers and adults, all levels, no previous experience necessary.

I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both teaching individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won prizes in competitions and several scholarships prizes.

Who I am?
Hi! My name is Jobbe. Once upon a time, I was an aspiring academic, but longing for a more creative way to share my voice I started singing and quite I recently graduated form the Master of Music program direction Music Theatre. I know how arduous the artistic journey can be yet, we take it none the less, because we are all striving for this little moment of magic that arises when everything falls into place. For me, I saw this happening many times during a performance but also in coaching others and it gives me chills every time. And I would be honoured to help you pass on this little spark of magic to others!

As I am only just starting with these individual lessons for a limited time they are available.

From the technique and theory of singing to performative qualities and coaching, I can help! Together we can work to get your singing to the next level!

I offer a holistic, well-rounded music education for all ages and abilities. The training I provide is tailored towards the students personal learning objectives and goals, some of these include solo performance, improvisation, playing in an ensemble and composition.

My approach combines conventional and alternative teaching methods, such as reading music, playing by ear, solfeggio, the suzuki method and mindfulness. The three aspects I prioritize in my lessons are imagination, experimentation and creativity.

My method focuses on understanding and expanding the students' musical capacities by means of an integrative approach that includes physical training, technique and comprehension.

My flute lessons are available in a flexible time frame from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with a frequency of weekly or biweekly, depending on your preference. As a graduated flutist with a bachelor and master degree from the conservatory, where teaching was an important part of my education, I have experience with both group lessons and individual lessons. My method is focused on enthusiasm for music and flute playing, where I welcome every student, regardless of background, language or level. Everyone is welcome to start their musical journey with me!
