I am in my final year of Classical Saxophone Performance Studies in HKU Utrechts Conservatorium in Utrecht!
I am looking forward to find new people that love music and would like to start lessons with me!
The saxophone family got invented in 1840! There are 9 different kinds of saxophone! The main one is the Alto saxophone!

My name is Katerina.
I am from Cyprus and I study in the Netherlands.
This is my 4th year of studying Classical Saxophone in the HKU Utrechts Conservatorium.

Opleiding

I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old, Then I passed the auditions and got a place in the Music High School in Limassol, Cyprus. Where I started having also Saxophone Lessons.
Afterwards, I wanted to become a proffessional saxophone player and I started my studies in HKU Utrechts Conservatorium.

Leservaring

I am teaching private lessons from my first year of Bachelor. I have experience with Kids and Adults!
For my internship, I got a chance to teach also a group of kids. Amateaur saxophone players.

I also offer clarinet private lessons, I could help you not only improve the skills but also solve the problems of the instrument itself.

Our saxophone lessons are for everyone from 8 years and older. The saxophone is ergonomic and easy to produce your first notes, so you will soon enjoy your first lessons.

Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics, an advanced player looking to improve your technique, or someone looking to improvise and make music together, lessons are tailored to meet your needs!

Sax lessons!
Invented by Adolphe Sax, the saxophone is a unique instrument that combines the warm and powerful sounds of brass and woodwinds. Thanks to its versatility, the saxophone feels at home in all kinds of music styles, from blues to classical.

We play the music you like, while also working on important basic skills, good technique and even exploring improvisation. Fun and creativity are key!

In addition, there is the possibility, once you have learned something, to join our saxophone group. Making music together is not only fun, but also inspiring!

Hoi! Mijn naam is Marijn en ik ben afgestudeerd van de studie Musician 3.0 aan het Utrechts Conservatorium (HKU).
Ik speel al sinds mijn twaalfde (alt)saxofoon (jazz, funk en pop), werk veel vanuit improvisatie en maak mijn eigen muziek.

Wilde je altijd al saxofoon spelen? Je vrij voelen op een instrument? Wat ik ervaarde toen ik les had is dat ik veel in mijn hoofd zat en aan het analyseren was: Doe ik het wel goed? Wat vind mijn docent ervan? Daarom wil ik in mijn lessen een basis bieden om je juist vrijer en comfortabeler te laten voelen op je instrument, zodat je je op een ontspannen en gegronde manier vooruit komt.
Naast de basisvaardigheden zoals op- en afbouwen instrument, basisonderhoud, embouchure, lichaamshouding en notenlezen, focussen we in de lessen ook op gewoon lekker plezier maken, experimenteren en improviseren. Zo hou je naast het opbouwen van technische vaardigheden ook de connectie met de muziek en het instrument!
