About Me

My name is Judith, I am 25 years old, living in Utrecht and a singer / teacher / theater maker by profession. Working as a teacher for 4 years. Started with, among other things, the preliminary training of a certified musical training, then started to focus on building up a clientele.

During the lessons I look at the person. What does anyone need? What are your goals? From there we can really invest in what you want to achieve. I really go for lessons, I am flexible and I find results more important than strictly 30/45/60 minutes of teaching and seeing you again the following week. So with questions I am always available, and I am certainly not difficult to do something for you outside of the lessons (send information, choose your repertoire, etc.), as long as we go for it together.

I know how arduous the artistic journey can be yet, we take it none the less, because we are all striving for this little moment of magic that arises when everything falls into place. For me, I saw this happening many times during a performance but also in coaching others and it gives me chills every time. And I would be honoured to help you pass on this little spark of magic to others!

As I am only just starting with these individual lessons for a limited time they are available.

I invite beginners as well as children or adults who have already had some experiences with playing and want to develope their skills.

In this case, we focus on the skills needed for ensemble playing and less on individual technique, so this option is not for absolute beginners. How does a lesson with me look like?
It depends on your level and what we focus on, but we will certainly do some preparatory exercises. You will present what you have been preparing since last time, and we will work on some details. If there is time, we shall then try something new. We can also play duos together. A lesson last about an hour, or 45 minutes for younger pupils.

I can adjust the repertoire to your preferences, to your needs and to your level, but I shall also encourage you to learn some new and unfamiliar styles.
I like to use notated music in the process of learning, so that in the future you will feel comfortable about reading music, but we can also sometimes improvise, or play something you remember without notation.

Along the way, you will learn some music theory, which is necessary part of becoming a musician.

I also offer music theory lessons alone, if you wish.

I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree.
In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Here in The Netherlands, I finished my masters at the Utrechts Conservatorium and worked as a singer at the NKK NXT 2022-2023.

I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have also performed as a soloist in many concerts. Some of the stages I have performed are: Concertgebouw Amsterdam, TivoliVredenburg, Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, Athens Concert Hall, Greek National Opera and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
