Guitar teacher for many years, I am passionate about jazz, blues, folk and fingerpicking.
My classes cover the basics of these different styles in a relaxed manner. Smoothly stringing together chords, exploring different rhythms, correctly placing a melody, trying improvisation (jazz, blues, rock), and developing finger playing techniques (classical or folk) are all central elements of the learning process. These are eventually deepened by notions of music theory and/or music theory.

Teacher trained in the "Arc-en-Sons" method, I also teach children from 4 years old

Classes are for Beginner and Intermediate levels.

Individual lessons (20, 30 or 60 minutes).

Group lessons (up to 4 participants).

Hope to meet you!

About Me
Guitarist for over 30 years, I give guitar lessons in various styles (jazz, rock, funk, blues, fingerpicking, bossa nova...).

The children's lessons are based on the Arc-en-Sons method, allowing to start the guitar from 4 years old. The learning is based on the senses of the child (hearing, sight, touch), play and singing. Once acquired the technical subtleties of the instrument, this method opens to any form of teaching of the guitar, classical or other. We learn music theory directly on the instrument and melodies known on tablatures.

For teenagers and adults the courses include:

- reading notes

- Learning chords and application on known songs.

- mediator and finger play technique

- learning improvisation jazz, blues and rock.

I give lessons at home or via skype

Opportunity to try a course without owning a guitar

Individual or group lessons (4 students max)

Experience / Qualifications
I am naturally patient and calm. I currently give classes to 25-30 students aged 4 to 65 years old.
My method is not fixed and adapts to the objectives and level of each person. Depending on musical tastes, I work on pieces of progressive difficulty by introducing or deepening certain techniques specific to particular guitar styles (jazz, blues, classical, bossa nova, etc.). During classes, theory can precede practice, accompany it or follow it.
My greatest satisfaction: to see progress.

Music theory is the basis of music, whatever the instrument, a good knowledge of the theory and practice of music is an asset that will help you progress in learning your instrument. A good knowledge of music theory will also help you to read "sight" or decipher your scores. With good training and several tips, I will give you the keys to performing these moments, sometimes considered "painful" by many. students, with ease! I also offer my help with remedial lessons for children or adults having problems in group music theory lessons at the academy or other private schools. Group lessons offer little opportunity to speak one-on-one with a student to overcome certain difficulties; a regular or occasional individual lesson can remedy these problems. I finished my entire cycle of music theory at the academy, as well as 4 additional years of advanced music theory at the Lemmensinstituut during my musical humanities, I then obtained my "solfege prize" in my first year of Bachelor at the Brussels Conservatory . I have also given a lot of instrumental, theoretical and group lessons, in these, certain aspects of theory and music theory come up regularly with my students, they always find these moments very enriching. I adapt to the student's materials and books if necessary but I can also bring my own exercises and books. I offer these lessons individually or semi-collectively (max. 3 students), you choose the duration that suits you best: 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on your desires and your concentration.

In addition, I also offer musical awakening lessons for the little ones from 3 years old. Music is a great asset for the development of a child, I acquired a great experience during three years where I taught musical awakening in different schools in Waterloo (the communal school of Chenois, Mont Saint Jean) . The groups were made up of 8 to 10 kindergarten children. In these classes, I always proceed in the same way for the structure of the class, I start with a little warm-up where the children become aware of their bodies and the environment, I then continue with 2-3 exercises working on an aspect of music. like the rhythm, the voice, the melody, the instruments, ... and I always end up with a little game with percussion instruments or a musical story. As for music theory, I offer these courses in individual or semi-collective ways (max. 3 students). *How about a little activity for siblings?* Classes can last 15 or 30 minutes depending on the number of children and their ages.
