Frank Wu (B.Mus, MA) is a Hong Kong based piano teacher with a passion for music education. A native of Hong Kong, Frank spent formative years honing his craft as a musician in Australia. He is an alumnus of the Australian Institute of Music, where he studied composition under the guidance of renowned Australian composers Eric Chapus and Drew Crawford. As a live performer, he was an active member in the vibrant Sydney music scene, accumulating extensive performing experience both as a pianist and keyboardist. On returning to his hometown of Hong Kong, Frank chose to focus his passion in music education. To further his professional development as a teacher, he attained his Master's degree in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University, graduating with highest honors with a focus on piano pedagogy and early childhood music education. With over seven years of teaching experience, Frank is a seasoned music teacher who has taught students of all ages - from preschool children to senior adults. He adopts a student-centered approach, accounting for each student's unique abilities to create customized lesson content that enable them to realize their musical potential.

Compassionate and well-qualified instructor with more than 5 years of overseas musical training, who have experience with pupils from various ages and backgrounds. More about me: Born in 1998, Virginia started learning violin at the age of 3, under the tutelage of under Ms Beedarn Chao and Ms Rosa Lam. In 2013, she attained DipABRSM in violin performance and Grade 8 piano one year later. In 2018, Virginia graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours), under the sponsorship of the “King’s Hong Kong Scholarships” At KCL, she studied violin with tutors from the Royal Academy of Music - Mr. Nicolas Dupont and Ms Georgia Hannant. She also studied composition with Professor Silvina Milstein, Robert Keeley and Dr. Edward Nesbit. Her works have been performed by UK professional musicians and ensembles such as Clare McCaldin and Lontano Ensemble. Since university, Virginia has been actively teaching primary to form 6 students at King’s St George’s Music Academy (London) and Sevenoaks School, one of the top 5 UK boarding schools. Aiming to branch out in the field of music, Virginia has took up various arts administration and marketing positions in leading ensembles such as the English Music Festival, London City Philharmonic and more since 2016.

With six years of music teaching experience, from conducting school orchestras to private teaching, my main goal is to help my students fall in love with music. My music journey started at the age of 6, later at the age of 13 I began to play the cello and achieved an ATCL diploma from Trinity College of London in 2014, also LTCL in piano in 2015. Graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Music in 2019, I participated in the CUHK jazz ensemble from 2016 to 2019 and the Chinese Music Ensemble as the Lead bassist. Aside from learning piano, I studied music composition. Post-University, I have dedicated my time to private music education, encouraging students to learn music according to their abilities.

With a strong background in both performance and teaching, Caleb is passionate about helping students grow musically.As a dedicated teacher, Caleb excels at discovering each student’s potential and offering comprehensive guidance tailored to individual needs. Despite his youth, he has already trained many promising young musicians. His teaching focuses on developing strong fundamental skills through a well-rounded and personalized approach. Dear parents and students, welcome to my profile! I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. Currently, I am an official singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes are always fully booked. I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. My lessons are mostly in English, but of course I can teach in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese too. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. Some of them even decided to choose music and opera as their future careers. Although I am based in the UK at the moment, I still would love to help students who like to learn opera and classical singing in Hong Kong. A former scholar at the Royal College of Music London, sponsored by The Kenneth and Violet Scott Award, I earned a degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Nigel Clayton, Peter Jablonski and Ruth Nye. I was also a recipient of Talent Development Scholarship awarded by the Hong Kong Government Scholarship Scheme. Started learning the piano at the age of 4, I won numerous prizes in different competitions including Asia Piano Open Competition, TOYAMA Asian Youth Music Competition, Inter-School International Performance Challenge and Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals. In 2018, I was also one of the finalists in the Liszt Memorial Prizes Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition. I have been actively engaged in music teaching since 2013. Starting my career in Opus 1 Arts Music Studio in Hong Kong, I continued inspiring the next generation when I moved to London in 2015, where I was appointed as the piano teacher in the Lanterns School of the Performing Arts London and London Music Centre.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
