Drum lessons with David offer both private and group drum experiences. After completing his studies with the famed Brian Kirk (drummer for the Pointer Sisters, and many others) in 2004 David continued to be an active performer and began to discover another passion in life: Teaching. David’s instructional style utilizes building a vocabulary of drum rudiments and applying them to the songs that interest students most.

Our lessons are uniquely designed to give you the skills you need to make the music you want to make. We begin by teaching a single instrument, for example, the guitar. We learn about how a guitar works, how you play it, and how different guitarists have defined and redefined how the instrument can be used. But underlying the guitar are universal music concepts that can be applied to any instrument anywhere; things like tone, melody, rhythm, and composition. Once you’ve got a handle on the guitar, we learn how these musical concepts can be applied elsewhere. Depending on interest and creative curiosity, in our lessons, we can explore guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, basic recording and production, music notation, classical composition, song and lyric writing, playing with a band, and performing music. The process of learning music is never complete. We hope to give our students the tools they need to spend their whole lives learning, playing, and enjoying music.

As a former lecturer in Physics and a University rank holder both in my Bachelor and Masters in Physics I understand what it takes to succeed. I am passionate about teaching elementary and middle school kids as these are formative years and I want to share my experience and help the kids succeed. Teaching languages is what I love the most. I am currently working as a Regional Sales Manager in Seattle. This class is for people who want to study while having fun. My goal is that students keep desire and passion to learn what they want to. I learnt my teaching methods last year with English and French professors when I was a French teacher at a Taiwanese university. In the past, I also tutored and helped several students from 12 to 40 years old to learn French. I also taught to children when I was working as an aupair in Croatia. I base my lessons on games, repetition and reverse classroom : to me, it is the best way to gain confidence while speaking a foreign language. I also encourage students to make mistakes : that's the best way to learn! I also always prepare short exercise to review grammar and conjugaison. Each student is very different so I always adapt and I am open to suggestions/ideas!
