About Me

I am a fully qualified and experienced Maths Teacher with more than 25 years’ experience in African, English, and Scottish schools and have taught English and Scottish Curriculums. My current position is Expert Maths Teacher at an Edexcel English Curriculum school in England. I am a very passionate and dedicated maths teacher who achieved 100% pass rate with 2 classes at GCSE (2015 – 2016) – class of 28, 7A*s, 17A and 4Bs, GCSE (2011-2012) - class of 30, 12A*s, 16As and 2Cs and 93% GCSE (2013-2014). In 2019 I achieved a progress score of +0.76 and generally a good track record of outstanding results.
I have mentored students who never believed they were good in maths but ended up producing the best results, why not be one of them?

The first thing I do when I start to work with anyone, is to understand what they can already do, and what they can't. Afterwards we'll train every step of the way to excel at each step and have a strong foundation to work with when solving bigger problems.

Above all, the belief that everyone has within them the capacity to understand what was already understood by others. The only factor that distinguishes students is the will they have to learn. With that in mind, it is also my responsibility, as a tutor, to keep them engadged and motivated. As Plato once said, "Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds". And that is my main objective.

To keep the learning on a good upward path, there should be no reservation in testing the student's capacities at any given time, and if all goes well, it will be like a game that will spark a desire to grow and achieve more difficult tasks constantly reenforcing previously acquired skills.

Science is very interesting and important for understanding of life around us. My science lessons are easy and uses techniques to help student understand concepts easily. As we would not have all the lab resources to understand things. I use examples and power point lessons that make this easy.
My focus is also based on exam techniques , so in real exam student is not at disadvantage as they would have understanding and enough practice of exam style questions.

I have over seven years experience tutoring in the UK as well as various European countries.

I have been working in London as an outreach tutor for the past three years - schools request my services to boost the grades of students from disadvantaged backgrounds and instil a sense of success and achievement in them.
