About Me

Hello, I'm Nagehan. For the past 5 years, I've been teaching Turkish to students through both online and face-to-face lessons. During this time, I've had the opportunity to meet many students from different countries around the world. Additionally, with my own experience in learning a foreign language, I understand the challenges that can make learning difficult and sometimes discouraging.

As an experienced guide in overcoming these challenges, I not only teach my students the language but also support them to facilitate their learning process. In 2007, I graduated from the Department of Primary Education at 9 Eylül University in Izmir, Turkey. Then, in 2018, I participated in the Turkish Language Teaching Certification Program for Foreigners at Marmara University in Istanbul and obtained my certification.

Now I only teach Turkish privately and translate classical novels from English to Turkish. I translated 12 books from English to Turkish.

I teach Turkish that is tailored for each student. Each student is unique for me and I know that every student has her/his own way of learning.
If you are a beginner I give a short lecture about the history of Turkish and its characteristics and help you find your way in this very logical, consistent and elegant language. You understand that Turkish is different but that does not necessarily mean difficulty.
From the first lesson, you start speaking Turkish and find yourself in a dialogue.

I use several books using a grammar-based approach integrated with communicative methods to boost the development of all language skills. But we always focus on TALK, TALK, TALK.
