About Me
- When I fell ill while getting classroom experience in 2011 (the summer after I graduated my BSc) my intention was always to try and become a teacher - now I have the opportunity I’ve grabbed it with both hands.- I have psychology as a background but I love teaching English from KS3-5 and I am good at it as well.
- I’m also training as an ESOL teacher.
- Learning the theories and practice of teaching is essential, but it is the learning process for students that I enjoy the most – seeing them progress and achieve is important to me.
Highlights of Teaching Practice while Tutoring:
- Gaining experience with various exam boards (AQA and OCR for Psychology; AQA, OCR, and WJEC for English).
- Teaching English Literature at A-Level – I adore this subject.
- Meeting a variety of students and teaching them 1x1.
- Tutoring a variety of age groups
Interests outside of work:
- Writing fiction
- Playing tabletop with friends (eg Dungeons and Dragons)
- Watching various genres of movies and TV
- Game Night with friends and family
- Volunteering for various charities – currently work with the MS Society, TM Society, and MS Trust
- Volunteering for societies at university as well as helping with national disability awareness month and fundraising for the MS charities.

AS & A-level psychology tutoring for year 11 and 12 studentsA Level Psychology can be a lot — loads of studies, tricky terms, and essays that need to hit specific points to score. It’s not just about knowing the content, it’s about knowing how to use it.
I did my AS & A Levels in 2023, and I know how it feels. Understanding the material is one thing, but turning that into marks is a whole different challenge.
In our sessions, we’ll cover the full syllabus: content, learning outcomes, past papers, and what examiners want to see. Since it’s one-on-one, we can focus on whatever you’re finding most difficult, or just sharpen your overall exam technique. I’m a big believer in “practice makes perfect,” so that’ll be a big part of what we do.
If you're aiming for a great grade and want a bit of the stress taken off your plate, I’ve got you.
