I have an Undergraduate degree, and a Postgraduate Masters degree in Psychology. I am an academic support mentor in Liverpool John Moores and Hope University. I have supported Undergraduate students and Postgraduate PhD students with academic writing.

I have a Postgraduate qualification in Specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and teach a multi-sensory language programme which targets grammar, punctuation, spelling and handwriting. I have taught students aged 6- 18 to improve their literacy skills and have received consistently good feedback.

If we do the sessions over Skype/Zoom then it is important to have work to hand and we can split the screen so as to work collaboratively to improve reading, writing and general understanding of specific topics.

I love teaching and supporting students to achieve their potential.
I will start by listening to what you are struggling with and would like help with, we will then plan what to cover in each sessions based upon your specific needs.
One of the main aims will be to work on improving your understanding of specific topics and also your writing skills in terms of the grammar, comprehension, spelling and degree of articulacy.

I'm Alice, 22 and recently graduated with a First Class degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Leeds. I spent the third year of my degree living and working in France, completing two internships and doing some private English tutoring too. I would love to share what I've learned over these 4 years to help other students!

I am offering tutoring in the following areas:

- English Language (GCSE/A-Level)
- Linguistics (sociolinguistics, language, and gender, language and power, discourse analysis)
- English as a foreign language (ESL)
- French culture (specialist in French film and cinema)
- Gender studies (throughout my degree I have specialized in gender and feminist approaches: feminist linguistics, feminist film theory, feminist philosophy, etc)

My classes are ideal for students at any level! Whether you're an A-Level student looking for some help with the English Language coursework or an adult wanting to delve into the world of linguistics, I adapt my classes to YOU and YOUR goals! My approach is student-centered, prioritizing what you want out of your classes, making for a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. I like to use current examples in my teaching to make the subject relevant and to really engage students. I also respond to student's learning styles (visual, verbal, aural, etc) and use this to their advantage, bringing out student's full potential.
I am also open to emails and discussion between classes- learning isn't just in the classroom!

As a french native and journalist, I know how to perfectly use Moliere's language. I currently doing my second master's degree in the UK, which means that I am now fluent after having spent a full year in the country.

I'm really passionate about languages. I loved and still love learning English, that's why I want to teach french and make learning it something really funny. I believe that learning a language is easier when you adapt it to your own daily life, and that's what I will try to teach you.

As a native speaker, it would be so interesting to help you discover the culture while learning how to talk.
Finally, as I also am a student, I know the way I wanted to be taught. Then, I could use my knowledge and my creativity to create a learning program that perfectly fits you.
