Urdu is the official language of Pakistan and it is also used in many parts of India. The spoken form is almost identical to Hindi, the principal difference between the two languages being the choice of alphabet.
This course is for absolute beginners. It is designed for those who wish to attain a basic understanding of the Urdu language covering four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It aims to introduce students to the Urdu alphabet, the basic language structure, and the basics of Urdu grammar. Students will also acquire limited vocabulary to be able to read simple texts and conduct a basic conversation in key areas of everyday communication. The course provides students with a solid foundation for further language learning.

TECHNOLOGIES AT THE SERVICE OF LEARNING.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.
