Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

La trompeta: su correcta ejecución técnica y la interpretación de los repertorios universales populares y académicos, está al alcance de todos sin importar su edad. Construiremos una secuencia lógica de estudios que ayudarán a desarrollar los aspectos técnicos. Y abordaremos repertorios acordes a la edad y gusto del estudiante. nos trazaremos un camino con metas a corto, mediano y largo plazo. construiremos una rutina técnica y unos hábitos saludables para progresar correctamente. Además, seleccionaremos de común acuerdo piezas musicales para ir madurando el desarrollo técnico de la mano del crecimiento musical.

Soy trompetista profesional, he participado en Orquestas sinfónicas, bandas de vientos, big band, y pequeños ensambles de cámara y jazz. Tengo amplia experiencia enseñando a niños, jóvenes y adultos.

Para mi es muy importante hacer música desde la primera lección, pues debe haber equilibrio entre la práctica técnica y su aplicación en pequeñas melodías o piezas musicales. No importa el género musical siempre encontraremos repertorio acorde al nivel y el interés de cada estudiante.

Si ya sabes tocar y necesitas perfeccionar alguna pieza o preparar un recital o audición, puedes contar con mi experiencia y acompañamiento también.

¿Qué es el método Suzuki?

Hace más de 40 años, Suzuki se dio cuenta de las implicaciones de facilitar que los niños de todo el mundo aprendan a hablar su idioma nativo. Comenzó a aplicar los principios de la adquisición del lenguaje al aprendizaje de la música, llamando a su método el enfoque de la lengua materna. Ideas de responsabilidad parental, estímulo amoroso, repetición constante, etc. son algunas peculiaridades del método Suzuki.

Involucramiento de los padres:

Como cuando los niños aprenden a hablar, los padres participan en el aprendizaje musical de sus hijos. Asisten a clases con el niño y actúan como “maestros de casa” durante la semana. Un padre generalmente aprende a jugar antes que el niño, para que pueda entender lo que debe hacer su hijo. Los padres trabajan con el maestro para crear un ambiente de estudio agradable.

Doy clases de Método Suzuki a niños de hasta 99 años. Este método de enseñanza se adapta perfectamente a cualquier necesidad. Complemento mi currículum con mi formación académica, ofreciendo así una visión más amplia de todo lo que puede abarcar el instrumento.

The course method, inspired by the Agostini school (French method used in French and Belgian academies and conservatories) is divided between technique and drums. At the rate of one session each we will focus once on technique and movements outside the drums (on pads) and the other time on the drums and the application of technique and movements.

-> The technique lessons and the movements will be those of the so-called 'Moeller technique' that I learned through his direct lineage of student.
-> The drum lessons are greatly inspired by the pedagogy of the M.A.I. (Music Academy International - Nancy (fr)) and in particular that of Richard-Paul Morellini, renowned instructor.

The courses are complete, in-depth but above all specifically thought of to be progressive. They are suitable for children from 7 years old as well as adults of all ages.

=> Particular attention is paid to the movements and their correct application, to the total independence of the limbs and finally to an understanding of the rhythm and its theory. My main goal is to give the student complete control behind the drums and skills to be able to self-learn any piece in any musical style. 1 hour of weekly lessons are never enough, they should only be used to fuel the passion that will make you play at home more and more.

On demand or for advancs students:
- I am very passionate about the study of South American rhythms. Due to their complexity, apart from the samba and Baïon ostinatos, they are not included in the program before the advanced level. They can be at the request of the student.
- I am also specialized in metal (musical style) and double pedal. The latter is not included in the program unless requested by the student. The double pedal courses are based on the methodology of Virgil Donati.

* Moeller technique (the 'whipping motion' - the Free stroke -Full/Half/Low stroke - accepting the rebound - its application etc.)
* Snare rudiments and their applications through reading systems
* Readings of scores and exercises for the snare drum
* Speed drills

* Control of the different subdivisions (quarter notes - eighth notes - triplets - sixteenth notes - quintuplets - sextuplets - triple eighth notes - nonolets etc.)
* Displacement of accents and polyrhythms
* On request, double pedal technique (application of the Moeller to the double pedal as well as everything listed above but with the feet)

If you've been eager to get better in drums and therefore studying all its different styles and genres, I definitely can help you with that!
Particularly, I've studied in deep Tony Williams' and Elvin Jones' playing and the main drummers of the jazz era from the 50s to the 70s , so if you really want to improve that kind of vision and sound I can give you some great hints such as transcriptions, analysis, sound strategies and many video materials.
Also, I am specialized in Funk/Hip-Hop music and that kind of groovy world. So, I've been mastering a specific approach to this genre as well.

About me:
I've been playing drums since I was 6. I got my Master Degree in 2022 at Salerno Music Conservatory (Italy) in Jazz Drums and Percussion.
I've been doing the role of Assistant Professor at KCB with Stéphane Galland since 2023.

Since I moved to Belgium I had to chance to collaborate and sharing the stage at the moment with Manou Gallo, Zap MAMA, Stephane Mercier, David Linx and various others.

À propos de moi :

Initié à la musique Metal et après une belle expérience dans une formation locale, je poursuis mon parcours à la Music Academy International de Nancy puis à l’American School of Modern Music de Paris (désormais professeur de batterie là-bas), desquels je suis doublement diplômé.
J’y ai beaucoup travaillé les musiques actuelles ainsi que le Jazz. Durant cette période, j’ai également bénéficié de l’enseignement de certains des plus grands musiciens et pédagogues français. (Franck Agulhon, Raphael Pannier, Dominique Di Piazza, etc..)
Parallèlement à mes études, j’ai intégré de nombreuses formations avec lesquelles j’ai pu commencé à faire beaucoup de concerts, tournées, sessions de studios et des tournages de clips.
