For Russian speakers, English is becoming more important than ever as international opportunities become increasingly available for education and work. Learning a language with a different writing system, gender system, and case system is a challenging feat, but it is key for participating in the expanding global community.

This class is designed to help Russian speakers improve their English. At any level or age, I will work with you by discussing your aims and making a plan to get you to them. The sessions will depend on your skill level and your personal goals. We may work on your business communications, use of English slang and expressions, reading comprehension, pronunciation, or if you are new to the language, start with basic structures, grammar, and vocabulary.

Hello!

I'm a tutor who specializes in English, both as a second language and as a subject.

I love my subject because my experience with this language throughout my life has completely transformed my education, career prospects, and my perception of the world as a whole. It's important to me that my students get the same opportunity to explore our world on their own terms through the use of the current global lingua franca.

I also adore English literature, including both prose and poetry. If you want to improve your essay-writing, literary analysis, or other related skills, I am more than happy to work with you on these as well. I am a skilled essay writer, and I can offer you feedback on written works or guide you through the process of writing a piece from scratch, including coming up with ideas and the art of discussion in written form.

When it comes to my classes, you can expect to work with me to set personal goals and make a plan on how we are going to get you to them. We will work on whatever interests and benefits you. Sessions will require some preparation on your part, sometimes including independent work outside of sessions. Come to sessions with an open mind, patience, and an eagerness to improve! We can always work from there.
