I work independently with students and tailor my teaching to suit their individual needs in order to prepare them for their SATS, 11+ grammar school tests or for general confidence building.
I am happy to provide most of the material for my classes.
I give homework after each class.
All homework is marked, discussed and corrected.
Progress reports are given to parents periodically.

An innovative, creative and inspiring Qualified Languages Teacher and Translator of Italian, Spanish, English and Romanian.
With a variegated ten-year working experience in different contexts, countries and with multicultural groups of students, I aim to offer a first-hand experience of what exactly speaking, thinking and reacting in a new language means.

With excellent results, I fully exploit the potential of authentic materials (songs, short films, films, books, newspaper articles, literature) and drama techniques, which I had the opportunity to deeply research at the Institute of Education - University of London, and subsequently put into practice in the London schools for which I worked.

My lessons are always student-centred, interactive, stimulating and related to real life, cultural situations and/or to exam requirements (GCSE, A-levels, International Baccalaureate, IELTS, TEFL, PLIDA, CELI), according to my students' needs.

I place high value on mutual respect, cooperation and active participation, the use of humour and imagination.

Dynamic and motivated teacher of 33 years (Graduate of EDHEC, Scientific Baccalaureate with honors, 2 years of preparatory class EC scientific option and 5 years of experience in private home-based courses), I propose courses and intensive reviews in Mathematics all levels and all sections until the Terminale.

Control of achievements, awareness of a practical methodology by writing cards, intensive training in solving typical exercises.

Make room for practice rather than theory in order to optimize the time spent together in solving typical exercises requiring a method (noted together on a form with the course associated with it). The goal is to react in the best way possible to a statement.

I am a professional and friendly teacher of English as a Second Language, with a specialism in Business English. I have trained many professionals from different industries: I help with grammar, idioms, register/tone, and general business usage.

I am an au pair girl in London and graduated from an engineering school in France. I have been teaching for 7 years, and plan to take the Capes.

A previous Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle student, I am bilingual in English and in French and can therefore offer classes in English to all ages, including GCSE students as I did the international Option of the baccalauréat (OIB). Moreover, I can offer classes in French too as I am as fluent in both languages.

For Linguistics and Phonetics you will go through your university course assignments with me, we shall do "Chomskian trees" and we shall discuss theoretical points (eg GB theory, minimalist program). For Phonetics, IPA symbols and phonetic structures and theories (auto-segmental phonology and optimality theory). WARNING: there are many approaches to these theories, we shall go by what has been adopted at your university.

Recently graduated from the Bachelor in Mathematics at Cambridge and former student of the Lycée Francais Charles De Gaulle (London), I offer private lessons in maths from 6th grade and also help with Oxbridge interviews + entrance exams (MAT, STEP ,...).

My method encourages long-term progress by focusing on the main concepts of the curriculum and not on simply memorizing solutions.
