Hello,

I am Michiel, a freelance translator located in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. In addition to Dutch, French and, to a lesser extent, German are also spoken in Belgium.

I have worked as a translator/copywriter in a variety of companies for 16 years and on a self-employed basis for 9 years. With this experience, I have the expertise to support both adults and students who want to learn Dutch or improve their existing knowledge. It's never too late to improve your language skills.

My main goal is to help you progress in this language at your own pace. Whether you want to learn the basics of Dutch or take your language skills to the next level, I will adapt to your specific needs and goals. I do not work according to a fixed schedule and can therefore adapt to the client's wishes. Evening and weekend sessions are absolutely no problem for me.

Secondary education: Modern languages & sciences in DBK
Higher education: Applied linguistics at Mercator Hogeschool Gent. Here I obtained my diploma: Master's degree in translation French/German

I have worked for companies in various sectors for seven years, including larger chains and SMEs. Since 2017, I have been running my own translation agency.
