About Me

My style of teaching is very focussed on understanding the student's individual aptitudes, personality, and style of thinking.

My goal is to break the concept that some people are naturally more mathematical than others.

With over 10 years of experience tutoring IGCSE and IB students at international schools, I've built my approach around one principle: most students aren't missing ability — they're missing the exact point where their understanding broke down.

I work across Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580, Core and Extended), International Mathematics (0607, Core and Extended), Additional Mathematics (0606), and IGCSE Physics (0625). Each has different demands — 0606 in particular moves well beyond the core syllabus into content that rewards genuine understanding over memorised steps, which is where most students actually get stuck.

Rather than re-explaining content the way it was first taught, I locate precisely where a student's reasoning diverges and rebuild from there. Sessions focus on building real understanding of the foundational concepts, then training exam technique against real past papers — and because most students work with me across the full two years, making sure what's covered early on is still solid when the final exam arrives.

With over 18 years of experience, I offer private lessons in Mathematics, Analysis, Matrices, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geology to students following the French curriculum (Terminales, Baccalaureate, 1ère, Seconde, Brevet) or international or European (in English) programs, as well as competitive entrance exams and preparatory classes for medical or scientific universities, or first-year university students. Lessons can be given at home or online via a virtual classroom method using a shared interactive whiteboard link and Zoom or WhatsApp for communication (a very modern and effective method). All results are recorded through this method. Alternatively, I can offer face-to-face lessons (depending on the circumstances).

I have a degree in Physics with 6 years of experience in IES. My methodology is quite good given that last year, nobody failed and those who took the Selectividad, got the necessary grade for their studies.
In the case of students who wish to access FP, I have made a summary of all the entrance exams. It was one of the subjects I taught at an IES.
The time available for each student may vary slightly depending on where the student lives, because I don't mind traveling, but I have my work commitments. Even if I can't show up on Saturday to Sunday nights, I could do it online in the early hours of that night.
