Piano lessons. Engaging teaching for of all ages and levels!

I am a well-prepared teacher and someone fun to study with. I have about 8 years of experience teaching all levels. I graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University and I currently study a master's degree in classical piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

I live in Ijburg and I have a wonderful Bösendorfer Grand Piano!

During my lessons, you will learn to perform the music that you dream and aim to achieve.

Whether you want to become a musician or not, my main goal is that you will learn healthy practice habits and foster values such as patience and discipline. These lessons will help you to tap into your mind to unwind from any obstacle; any achievements that you can make during my piano lessons will help you to achieve things in other fields.

Extra information

Developing an effective and positive mindset will have an impact on your learning. I am a multi-award-winning concert pianist with a wide experience as a soloist performance.

My main goal is to foster music lovers and to help the students to keep discovering the capabilities and potential of their minds regarding their age.

I will do my best to find engaging music methods that suit the student best.

I consider music an essential part of our lives and our culture and, therefore, its learning is necessary so that we can enrich and develop fully as human beings. The bassoon offers lots of remarkable and distinguished qualities, that you can only achieve by learning this particular instrument, with a very characteristic sound.

Bass guitar- and music theory lessons for every level - Jazz, Pop, Rock and related genres
Hi! I'm Jeff, bassist in Amsterdam, and currently in my final phase at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. As a bassist, I've been playing in diverse settings with different styles of music. Every genre of music knows a bassline, and I proudly take on that role with my bassguitar, double bass or synth-bass. I'm a bassist who gladly shares his love and passion for music with anyone that would like to learn. Sound and groove are the most important tools a bassist can have. In other words: it sounds good, and it feels good. I approach the instrument as a hybrid between double bass and guitar, which opens new doors when the two worlds meet. During the lessons I happily share my knowledge and enthousiasm for the bass, and create a lesson plan based off the student's goals. Whether those are ambitions for the big stage, playing along to their favourite songs, leveling up their playing skills, or helping them getting started! Let's make some music!

Voice Lessons for Young/Inexperienced Singers - Classically Focused
These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.
