Relative clause A relative clause is a subordinate clause used as an adjective for a noun. These clauses come after a noun to distinguish it and identify it from others. These clauses begin with relative pronouns, each of which has a different meaning and use. Which is not rational? Where When Whose property? Past simple is a tense used when talking about events that happened in the past. form d V+ed ied bake_baked Cook_cooked Cry_cried The verb ends with y and is preceded by a consonant. We drop the y and add ied. She washed her dress yesterday She washed her dress yesterday I want to negate the sentence. We negate this time with Verb in the infinitive + didn't We put didn't between the subject and the verb. She didn't wash her dress yesterday Make a question about this: Verb in the infinitive + subject + Did Did she wash her dress yesterday? Did she wash her dress yesterday?
