In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is on natural discussion centered on books, writing, cinema, and television. We can chat about characters, narrative themes, storylines, or simply discuss the stories that interest you.
We can also read and discuss short book excerpts or script pieces together, depending on your interests. As a writer, I'm especially interested in how language creates emotion, reveals personality, and brings stories to life. Together, we'll explore not only what characters say, but why they say it that way, and how you can use natural expressions to sound more confident in your own English.
Don't worry — you don't need to be a literary critic to enjoy these lessons. We use stories as a starting point for conversation, not as an excuse to overanalyze every page or scene. Whether you enjoy discussing your favourite novel, breaking down an unforgettable movie scene, or simply chatting about fictional worlds, the goal is to create a relaxed environment where English feels alive and enjoyable.
It's all about enjoying the language instead of seeing it as something intimidating. I will correct your mistakes when appropriate, but mistakes are a natural and valuable part of learning. They help us identify what to improve and build lasting confidence.
Every lesson is tailored to your interests, goals, and pace. The aim is to help you build real-world speaking confidence, expand your vocabulary, and enjoy using English in a relaxed, friendly environment.
MULTILINGUAL LISTENING SUPPORT
If you get stuck, you are welcome to use your native language when necessary. I have passive listening and reading comprehension of Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and German, in addition to being a native Serbian speaker.
Our lessons and explanations will primarily be conducted in English or Serbian.
ONLINE LESSONS
Lessons are conducted via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference. We can use screen sharing and digital materials when they are useful for the lesson.

Depending on your level and goals, we can work on:

• Vocabulary and pronunciation
• Serbian grammar explained clearly and practically
• Serbian culture, customs, music, films, and everyday life
• Serbian for travel, relationships, family, or personal interest
The lessons can be adapted to complete beginners as well as learners who already know some Serbian and want more opportunities to practise.
