Trusted teacher: My name is Pia, I am a professional harpist-singer. I have been playing the harp for over 20 years, have studied classical for 10 years, then move to other styles and create my own musical projects. I like teaching the harp "otherwise". For beginners, we will start, of course, with the basics of technique. For more advanced harpists, we can explore different styles, approach the rhythmic harp, improvisation, different jazz standards, try arrangements of pieces known to your requests, and even include singing, if you wish :) Schedules will be defined together. Here are some points of my biography -Provision to: Festival Mundial del Arpa in Paraguay; Vancouver Island Music Fest in Canada; Festival Internacional Arpa Sentmenat in Spain, Encuentro International Maestros del Arpa in Colombia, Boston Harp Festival in the United States, Gaume Jazz Festival in Belgium, and many others. Graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston (2014-> 2017) in harp-jazz and Valencia - Spain (2015) and obtained one of the best scholarships awarded by the school -Participation on the show The Voice France in the team of Louis Bertignac, with his harp (2012) -Highly graduated from the Nancy International Music Academy singing, major of his promotion, with special mention unanimously, with the congratulations of the jury (2011) -Many concerts and festivals around the world. -Winner of many musical competitions, such as the Belgian national competition Dexia "Axion Classic" in 2008 (1st prize), the Ufam competition in Paris, in 2000 (Mention très bien) and 2006 (1st medal), the Felix Godefroid competition in 2003 (1st prize), the Imagine competition in 2009 (1st place), semi-finalist of the Dutch Harp Festival Competition in 2018. Trusted teacher: "I still remember the first time I heard the sounds of a harp, when I was 8, my grandparents took me to a concert in the little church in Gosselies. To pinch the strings, I was kidnapped by the magic sound that came from the heart of the woods. The longer the concert went on, the closer I got to the harp ... After harassing my parents for a year, I started To study this magnificent instrument, it immediately became a sacred object for me, and thanks to him, I could communicate my feelings, laugh, relax and find the desired balance. " My courses are based on the Irish teaching method so first of all to the ear, on the resources that the student has in himself and on the fact that one learns while having fun. I propose a harp lesson: - Medieval dedicated to teenagers and adults for false beginner and intermediate based on medieval music and rebirth, improvisation, arrangement of melodies, ... - Celtic for all ages from 14 to 70 years, beginner level, false beginner, intermediate and intermediate / advanced based on Celtic repertoire and Irish, Scottish and Breton techniques After a few lessons, the neo-harpists will play short and simple melodies until the end of the journey to play more complete melodies that provide accompaniment and use of both hands. Lessons are defined on the learning needs of individual students. Even if I use the Irish teaching method, I will provide the basis for reading the pentagram, for the integration of rhythm, the foundations of harmony so that the student can read a piece of music independently. I live in Italy, so I come back once a month in Belgium (sometimes more) for the courses in attendance (duration of the lesson in attendance: 90 minutes). Next dates for the courses in attendance: - December 22nd to 28th - From 18 to 20 January For skype lessons (3x per month, lesson duration 60 minutes) see the typical week.

Medieval, folk and Celtic harp lessons (Floreffe)
Mélanie
As i am just about to start harp lessons, we had a first ''lesson' in which Mélanie advised me extensively about the types of harps that I should consider getting/renting,and explained her pedagogy and the type of music she specializes in, which is exactly what I would like to take up. She explained some aspects of the repertoire (such as the fact that for older music we often have only a melody line surviving, so the accompaniment involves improvisation). She is extremely friendly and helpful, organized and clearly at home with teaching online, which she had been doing in part before the lockdown. I look forward to having the first 'real' lesson once I have a harp to play on.

Vocal Coaching, Ear Training, Guitar / Piano - Singing (Watermael-Boitsfort)
Pia
My 8 year old daughter signed up for a singing contest at school with no experience or knowledge in music. We did get in touch with Pia and she was able to give a few singing lessons within a short period of time. Yesterday my daughter performed very successfully in the contest. Pia is not only able to teach singing, she also has the ability to motivate and inspire and she has definitely awaken the interest in music to our daughter. We are very happy that we have met Pia and hope to see her again.

Harp and Music Theory/Solfege lessons, for adults and children (Etterbeek)
Eleonora
I enjoyed my first lessons. It was both very practical since I learned a lot about the technical aspect of playing an instrument (hand positioning, body posture, etc.) and about the history of harp. The teacher also gave me advice regarding buying my own harp. She was very attentive and paid attention to my every movement, to make sure that I played it all correctly. I am looking forward to having more lessons
