I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years - starting off playing acoustic guitar in my bedroom as a young teen to studying popular music at Barnsley College (via University of Sheffield) and BA Music at University of Chichester. Along the way, I have played in various local bands across the UK and taught electric and acoustic guitar at a variety of levels and age groups. I have been a part time guitar tutor for 10 years and offer my expertise from anyone who wants to start learning to play the guitar, who needs extra tuition for GCSE/A level/etc or who wants to develop their skills and knowledge on the instrument. I teach in a very relaxed manner and my lessons are very “student driven” - before tuition starts I need to understand what the student wishes to gain from the lessons to ensure that they can get the best out of my experience and expertise. With the exception of primary school aged children, I prefer for the student to decide what they wish to learn in order for them remain engaged with their practice.
