From Nervous to Natural: Public Speaking and Communication Training

I equip you with the tools to speak confidently and perform at your best under pressure.
I draw on a twenty year career as a professional actor, working with some of the world's most celebrated voice coaches and directors, along with a second career in the extremely time-sensitive pressures of live television broadcasting.
Four years ago, I joined the coaching team at renowned comms specialists, Laughton Scott. This allowed me to fuse my acting craft and corporate experience to help people find their true voices and shine their light onto the world.

My coaching uses practical techniques to put you in control of your delivery, so if you need help tweaking a town hall speech, crafting a corporate proposition or beating those best man nerves, I can help.

If you're new to auditioning it can be a daunting prospect. The first time I auditioned for drama school I was completely unaware of what to expect. I didn't know anyone who had been and didn't get any help with speeches or songs. It was a disaster and I was thrown out after the first round. Two years later, I reapplied fully prepared this time, and won a scholarship on the three year acting course at Mountview Theatre School.
I can help with all aspects of the acting audition process:
Vocal/physical warm up
Managing nerves
Making sure your speeches suit you
Working on the text: Understanding - intention - intrepretation - and working towards the required standard for success
What to expect at your audition
Recreating a pressure environment; The dreaded panel, the waiting and staying calm under pressure
I have over twenty years experience as a professional actor, and auditioned hundreds of times across all formats.
I have appeared extensively in the West End and toured across the world, as well as being in over 40 TV commercials.
As a tutor/director I have worked at Arts Ed, Mountview, Ravenscourt Theatre School.
