Hello! My name is Ikechukwu, a First-Class graduate of the Department of Microbiology, University of Abuja, Nigeria. During my undergraduate studies, I assisted several undergraduate students in some topics that they struggled with, such as Recombinant DNA Technology, Glycolytic cycle, Kreb Cycle, etc. I also assisted my professors during class hours, especially with online classes. I graduated as the Best Male graduating student, winning lots of awards, such as the Scholarship for the Most Outstanding Student, Anglican Students' Fellowship, University of Abuja, Nigeria. Upon graduation, I got a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant Position at the Department of Microbiology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu, Nigeria. For the past 3 years, I have been working as a Science tutor with Ikekams Venture, a learning hub for primary, Secondary and Undergraduate students. I teach Integrated Science topics, such as Animal and Plant Nutrition, Respiratory and Digestive system, Heat, to Grades 7-12 students. I believe that every child has great potentials locked-up within them, and through effective communication, flexibility, patience, love, care, and diligence, these potentials could be unlocked. I possess these, and they have enabled me over the years, to effectively simplify difficult concepts within a short time, for my students.

I know how difficult it is for a child to easily and quickly grasp Mathematical concepts; and, I am proud for the opportunity to become part of the success story of these kinds of children. I believe that every child has great potentials locked-up within them, waiting for a loving, caring, dedicated, and flexible tutor to bring out the best in them. This is why for the past 3 years, I have given myself to the tutoring of K-12 students, and have helped improve their learning abilities; so that they earned high grades/scores in examinations, such as WASSCE, GRE, ACT, SAT, GCE, and Common entrance. I have the rare ability to simplify complex concepts within a short time. I leave no stone unturn in my quest to see that my students quickly grasp each lesson. I try to relate the topics to real-life events, for quick assimilation. I also assess my students’ level of knowledge before and after every lesson, to make sure there are tremendous improvements. I have used numerous learning tools to make my lessons engaging and filled with lots of fun. These tools make each class seem as a physical one. I use digital whiteboards such as Microsoft whiteboard; I also use web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google meet, and Skype. I use content-creation tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Lastly, I use Canva for creating all types of graphics, including infographics.
