As a passionate performer, student and teacher, I offer private lessons in English and other languages to individuals of most proficiency levels and any age group. I have the most to offer to beginners. There are certain materials, methods, and repertoire lists that I will consistently rely on for most teaching, but every student will receive advice and exercises tailored to their specific needs. Hi everyone! I am a viola player from Belarus. I completeness my bachelor degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and currently doing my masters in HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. As well as playing viola, I have a lot of knowledge about music theory, as it was accompanying me through my entire career. I would be very happy to share my knowledge with music enthusiasts of all ages and levels. Let’s create music together!

I offer individual one-to-one violin lessons for any age and level. You can choose between 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons once a week with 40 lessons total in a year. The lessons can be in Koninklijk Conservatorium (Royal Conservatoire) The Hague, online, or at the student's home with an additional transport fee per lesson. My violin class is open to any genre, from classical to pop. The lessons will be in English, Indonesian, or basic Dutch. There is no need to bring anything for a lesson, but it would be great if you already have your violin, and feel free to bring your previous materials or songs/pieces you have ever learned to the lesson. When teaching, I focus on diversity and inclusivity. I have taught diverse students from various nationalities, ages, and levels.

My lesson will depend on each student's goal. If you are a student who wants to learn an instrument as a hobby and has never had contact with an instrument before, I will teach you the basics (from holding the violin and bow and playing easy tunes on the violin to teaching how to read notes and rhythms). If you are a student with years of experience and already know the basics, I can help you with the repertoire you are playing, or give you and prepare new pieces with you, I will help you improve your practice sessions and help you prepare auditions or performances. I give lessons in English or Portuguese but can also manage to speak Spanish

I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced violin and viola lessons to all ages. My lessons are customized for each student’s personality, learning style, and abilities. I put a strong emphasis on developing instrumental techniques and fundamentals. With a good foundation, students are more easily able to express themselves in an imaginative way. I challenge my students with high standards in a learning environment that is fun and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they feel challenged, but also successful and confident about themselves. I am a detail-oriented and rigorous teacher but I find balance through patience and kindness. I maintain a keen awareness of pacing, interests, and motivation so that my students never get bored.

As a graduate violin teacher, I offer music lessons. I'm 26 years old, and have BA and MA degrees in performing, MA degree in music education and I'm currently studying Historical Performance in the Royal Conservatory. I have experience in teaching different levels and age groups, from beginner children and grown-ups to advanced youngsters, aged 5-55. It's a nice thing to help people get closer to an instrument and music, and be part of others' achievements! For children it's very useful to learn music because of its transfer effects, and for adults, it's also a good way of recreation, quiet from workdays and so on. I have been a performing Violist since 2000 and a dedicated teacher since 2010. I am currently studying Early Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and have recently graduated from The Juilliard School, where I was the proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship. I have taught students from 12-63 in Texas, New York, Brazil, and Hungary. I believe that learning an instrument is a vehicle by which one may learn anything and that music is fundamental to our humanity. I believe one is never too young, or old, to learn, and I am committed to sharing music.

I am an experienced violin/viola teacher who recently arrived in the Netherlands from Australia. I have a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and am currently completing a Bachelor of Early Music at the Royal Conservatoire at the Hague. I have been teaching for more than 10 years, and since 2013 was running a strings program at a Steiner school in Tropical North Australia, as well as running a busy teaching studio and conducting community orchestras in the area. I love teaching and consider it one of my main passions. I enjoy working with students of all ages and have taught several adult students of varying abilities, as well as children as young as four. I aim for my lessons to be enjoyable, inspirational, systematic, and holistic (covering many different musical aspects and skills in one lesson). I am a friendly and patient teacher who believes in all my students and helps them be the best they can be.

I am a student in the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. I am from Spain and I teach music and violin to students from 7 to 99 years old. My aim to teach is due to my passion for music, being it something that gives people lots of joy and I also consider a helpful tool to develop mental, emotional, and social capacities. Exploring different feelings and learning how to express them is also a nice part of this job. This way, working with students and teaching them to give what they have on the inside is very satisfying for me, as well as seeing them reaching their goals and enjoying the music they love the most. I adapt the lessons to the student depending on his/her goal, and requirements and I also let them express their own ideas and resolutions and why they want to learn to play violin. Through these lessons, I hope to help each child and adult enjoy music and acquire multiple capacities such as creativity, discipline, and patience.

After studying for two bachelor's degrees one Master's degree in Composition and a Professional degree in violin, I am currently working as a freelance artist in Den Haag. Being involved in music education since I was 6 years old - starting to study in a conservatory at the age of 8, together with my eight years of practice as a music teacher - has given me enough experience to understand the wishes and needs of a music apprentice. Music is a wonderfully pleasurable form of expression and should be enjoyed with fun and sensitivity. However, discipline -without pressure- can not be forgotten. In my lessons, I try to train the body and brain simultaneously to develop the student's adequate skills to play the instrument and learn the musical language in an efficient and stimulating way. I teach violin, viola, music theory and solfege, for all levels and ages. There is the possibilty of forming groups for ensemble playing with other students. I accompany my students with the violin or the piano, to further exercise their musical ear, tuning and sense of rhythm. If you have any questions regarding my teaching method, feel free to ask! The ability to improvise is not a natural skill that we are born with. It is an understandable chain of tools that can be learned and practiced into performance. Improvisation is something that requires discipline as much as freedom, and in fact, it stems from the understanding of sounds, the music's natural grammar. Violin is mostly seen as a melodic instrument but it can be otherwise. Outside of the classical world, rhythm reigns and the violin can be a leading rhythmical instrument too, providing solid grooves and accompaniments or challenging your fellow musicians with percussive sounds. Furthermore, to be proficient in specific styles, it is not enough to just play scales and patterns but it is necessary to learn the colors of the proper harmonical framework which is part of an idiom. In 10 years of teaching, I developed an approach that rethinks the function of fingerboard visualization allowing you to transpose in any key with great facility and to understand the logic behind the shapes of any chord on the fingerboard. In these lessons, I will help you to rethink the violin out of the box, as a powerful rhythmical and harmonical instrument while deepening your melodic ability (soloing) related to the styles you want to play: Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Pop, Rock, Brazilian, World Music. [According to the style we will also be working with loops and effects] This class is designed for musicians who already know the basics of violin techniques but addresses both beginner and advanced players in relation to the field of improvised music. The lessons will be custom made for each student. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player I will work to adapt to your learning rhythm while keeping you challenged at the same time.
