As a creative copy professional and philosopher, I see every lesson as an experiment. To keep us both on the edge of our seats, I continuously explore new ways of teaching that fit your specific needs. Feel tempted? Book your first lesson and get one extra! Doubts? Dutch might feel a little violent to a delicate mouth in the beginning. But once you get passed that, a sea of inspiring and quirky new ways to express yourself will open up. To help you move beyond that hump, I will adjust my lessons to your personal passions and interests, including your specific reasons to speak and/or write in this language right now. Two kids that are roughly the same level can share one webcam lesson of one-hour minimum. Keep in mind that we will stay online for at least 15 minutes extra, as young ones will need at least two 5 minute breaks.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2017 I have assisted students from different study backgrounds (from civil engineering to psychology) with writing their thesis and since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and I teach private students. Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch and face-to-face or online, depending on the location. Location face-to-face classes: Citizen M Amsterdam, at your home or in the public library.

I have also worked in a theatre setting as a producer for almost 10 years, and these two worlds combined have allowed to come up with a formula to help you shake off any nerves and get excited about standing up in front of an engaged audience.

I offer French lessons with oral practice in real-life situations, a method that allows for better understanding and assimilation of the French language. And above all, no stress, French is fun.

I teach all levels of english and have experience in different age groups as well as levels. Making you feel comfortable in my classroom is essential to a good student teacher relationship. I like to make my lessons as interactive as possible. Students learn from me but i also learn from my students. Learning whilst having fun is key! I give all sorts of lessons, from speaking, to grammar to vocabulary. You know the drill. I try to use as many materials and visuals as possible, I design worksheets, stories and games for my students. Despite advances in AI and other technologies, the core practice of excelling in college remains reading comprehension and essay writing. I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
