Trusted teacher: Learning to play the piano is incredibly fun! You'll learn something most people can't do, but would love to learn. You'll learn to read music, tap rhythm, use both hands simultaneously, play loudly and softly, recognize chords, and much more. Playing the piano is a true art, but almost anyone can learn it! With regular practice, you'll surprise yourself. We start with a solid foundation, such as proper posture, hand position, reading music, and playing in tempo. For advanced students, the focus is on articulation, dynamics, phrasing, and how to play in a classical or popular style. My lessons emphasize rhythm and expression. It's not about being able to play something incredibly fast, but about being able to play a piano piece with feeling and in the right rhythm. I'm now 41 and have been playing piano since I was 8. I started with simple pieces and took lessons from various teachers, including Sherry van Baaren. In Enschede, I studied with the Russian pianist Mikhail Markov for the correct interpretation of classical music such as Mozart sonatas and romantic pieces. All of this has led me to now teach piano myself and also to write my own piano method. I work as a teacher at an international primary school in the Netherlands and am used to working with children aged 3-12. The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :) It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Trusted teacher: The present course is tutored by a Classical Singer and a Classical Pianist, both study connected to the Royal Conservatory Den Haag. It is preferred to work weekly to optimize results. The singing, and main teacher, is always present to assure the vocal progression. The piano coach will be present as often as requested by the student/advised by the teacher. The pupils will then have the best piano accompaniment. The main objective of the course is to work accordingly with the student's goals to give a well-driven direction to our study. The course it's thought with classic technical basics (healthy vocal benefits) but other styles can be added like the musical, jazz, cabaret, etc... Each case will have a personalized answer. The teachers' connection to the Royal Conservatory also ensures that complex problems can be solved by asking the highest experts. > Lesson structure: ✓ The lessons start with body/posture awareness, movement and breathing exercises followed by an individual set of vocalizes that may incorporate some scales, cords and/or improvisation. ✓ After the warm-up, depending on the student's level and goals, some song methods may fallow and/or the repertoire on which we decided to work. ✓ While working on the pieces several kinds of information will be provided: • The Anatomy of the Voice (body, breathing, vocal cord, resonances, prevention and counseling about vocal disorders); • Language and Phonetic knowledge of Italian, French, German, English, Spanish and Portuguese (+ strategies to enable singing in other languages). • Vocal Interpretation, phrase, prosody, colors, coordination with the piano and tools how to personalize the 'message', among others based on appropriate bibliography; • Drama basics, stage preparation, and fright avoidance strategies. • Music Theory and History in order to understand the pieces more deeply through a quick analysis, period and style. ✓ At the end of each season (non-mandatory) public auditions can be arranged whenever an artistic space would be willing to receive great voices and repertoire. I can use multi-media to share screens and make the instruction clear. As a result, I plan to offer a new category of online piano and music theory classes. About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal usually takes more than four years to practice. I cannot find a word that can explain my appreciation for Christian. She is a patient , responsible, and good teacher. She really try very hard to help my son William to understand theory . William hate theory to now he understands very well. Christian knows that he got limited time to do his grade 5 exam which required by school . She only use 2 moths to help him to got distinction. ( which I only think he could just pass) I was so lucky to find her in this website which we had changed 2 teachers before in UK and HK who fail to make theory interesting for William. . I ll recommend Christian to anyone who I know and want to improve their music now she is teaching my daughter piano I am so looking forward to see her improvement and enjoyment for music.

I started as a complete beginner and not being really confident about my voice. Nonetheless, Filipe made me feel at ease from the very first lesson. Filipe is really motivating and he conveys his passion for singing during every class, which always makes me feel stronger and reenergized. Also, while he lets you practice and work together on the songs you love, he is very professional and provides guidance in every technical aspect of singing, from breath support and articulation, to finding resonances within your body, as well as how to mentally approach a song. Strongly recommended!!
