Trusted teacher: Are you interested in learning how to play the guitar and exploring the captivating world of music? Would you like to be able to express yourself through guitar? Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate or an advanced player, I am here to guide you through your own musical journey and help you reach the level that you aim for. I am a classically trained guitarist with several years of experience and through professional guidance and lessons adapted to your own personality, we can discover your creative side. My aim is to help students acquire a correct technique and deep understanding of music and expression, which will help them perform important pieces of the classical guitar repertoire, as well as songs and pieces of different genres. About me: I am Nikos and I am a classical guitarist with 15 years of experience. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 10 and from the age of 14, with the supervision of my teacher, I have been helping and guiding younger guitar students, giving me a hands-on experience in teaching from an early age. In 2019, I obtained my soloist diploma from the Hellenic Conservatory of Music and Arts, giving me the right to teach and since then I have been teaching privately. Currently, I am studying with professor Pavel Steidl, at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague and I have been attending a Music Pedagogy course, as well as courses in Early Music. Since 2014, I have been attending guitar festivals and academies, giving me the opportunity to learn from some of the most important classical guitarists of our era and also be awarded prizes in national and international competitions, such as the 1st prize in Palaio Faliro guitar festival in Athens in 2020 and the 3rd prize in the 1st International Nikita Koshkin competition in Russia in 2021. In 2024, I was honored to receive a scholarship given each year to two European guitarists, giving me the opportunity to attend the Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute 2024 in Volterra, Italy. Music Theory: In 2020 and 2021, I graduated from the music theory departments of the Hellenic Conservatory with a degree in Music Harmony and a degree in Counterpoint.

Trusted teacher: Guitar for beginners. This is the course where you learn the basic guitar skills. I teach electric, classical and acoustic (folk, flatpicking) guitars, you can learn a mix of these similar yet very specific techniques or focus on the one of your preference. In electric and acoustic guitars the first challenges are pick control, hand coordination and left hand positions (and shifting them). With classical guitar the goal will be using the right hand fingers independently, including the thumb for the bass notes and the left hand will have similar challenges to the other guitars. In classical guitar we will be playing polyphonic pieces (several voices) more often, in electric we’ll focus on chords, riffs and solos and with the acoustic we’ll play also chords with different strumming patterns, melodies, solos and lots of flatpicking exercises. Intermediate to advanced levels. If you want to take your guitar playing more seriously, this is the course for you. After having some control over the basic guitar techniques you may want to take it a little further, improvising, building your own chord progressions and solos and having a next level technique to improve your playing. In Guitar 2 we’ll work with scales, arpeggios, improvising, different picking techniques, more sophisticated harmonies, new chord voicings and tips to play in a group context. We will play blues, jazz and more advanced rock solos and riffs to help you build a strong and confident musical language. One of the things I’ve been doing over the years is helping candidates to University music courses to get ready for their admission exams and getting the skills needed to begin this new step of their lives successfully. That’s something I really like to do.

Trusted teacher: The course that I propose is BILINGUAL FRENCH / ENGLISH, as well as 2 BOOKS. Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress. Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward. The kind of music you love most will be the focus of the course, their codes and secrets will be the focus of our study, that's what I want to share with you. We can do technical lessons and simply learn together how to play one or more songs of your choice or mine, enrich your game with this approach and your repertoire! (For example, We can re-arrange the pieces and make them more original by approaching the system (CAGED), and enriching their chords, resulting in new positions, new techniques and new sounds, using arpeggio techniques rather than strumming for 4-chord pieces, voicing and fingerstyle techniques, in short, expanding the instrument's playing fields and playing skills to keep progressing in your game and improve your rehearsals ...) If you make a request, this program is obviously accompanied by the pleasure of learning more in theory and being able to directly apply new knowledge on its instrument and identify its common or rare use in the pieces discussed in class. In this case, the theory is translated to be accessible to anyone, both for those who are connoisseurs and for those who discover everything from absolute zero. The exercises, songs, and theoretical explanations offered throughout the program are organized in an order of progressive difficulty. I wrote and produced 2 books of my method to learn the guitar and the music, that I sell to accompany my course and your apprenticeship in the best conditions and so that you can continue the course even at home and to review etc ... . There is ONE BOOK OF COURSES containing all the theoretical and practical program of the year, as well as a BOOK OF EXERCISE on the ranges and the modes that you can obtain directly. Trusted teacher: PROFESSIONAL GUITARIST, COMPOSER, MUSIC AND GUITAR TEACHER Beginner-Advanced Level Experience: I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students. Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method. My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc. For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music. Methodology: I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals. Generally, the first half of the lesson is dedicated to technique, focusing on proper placement, execution, and relaxation, which will result in a good sound. Over time, I've realized that it's also a way to connect with the guitar, concentrate, and warm up. So, little by little, we'll develop our routine, which will begin by working on basic rhythmic aspects. The second half is dedicated to playing, trying to put into practice what we learned about the technique with the sticks or studying other concerns of the student, which may be a theme, harmony, falsetas, improvisation, or even other styles, etc., always obviously taking into account the search or interest of the student. FLAMENCO - Flamenco technique - Palos (Tangos, Bulerías, Alegrías, Soleá, Taranta...) - Accompaniment to singing and dancing - Clapping and rhythms MODERN GUITAR - Harmony - Improvisation - Repertoire (rumbas, pop, jazz, rock, etc.) CLASSIC - Reading, solfège and interpretation. - Works - I work with progressive learning books

Lou-Indigo

Lou-Indigo is hands-down the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of learning music from. Having been taught by a number of music teachers for a variety of different instruments, I have experienced a range of different teaching styles and personalities, yet nobody has been able to keep me focused and captivated by music in the way that Lou-Indigo does. In the past, music lessons would always bore me, as I found that my perspective of music being an outlet of creativity would often be tarnished by previous teachers who took too much of a strict, structural approach to music. On the other hand, some other teachers would be too relaxed, often leading to me becoming frustrated by a lack of progress and direction. Lou-Indigo manages to skillfully combine structure, creativity and a relaxed atmosphere into a 60-minute lesson. I am the complete opposite of bored and genuinely look forward to every lesson. Instead of feeling drained after sessions, I feel inspired to learn more. In my opinion, Lou-Indigo does this by crafting just the right amount of challenge into each exercise, enough to give you a sense of progress and achievement, but not too much to make you feel frustrated or overly daunted. Furthermore, his clear explanation of music theory and guitar techniques, evidently backed by years of experience, gives you a deeper insight into music, uncovering the medium's potential for creative expression. I could not recommend Lou-Indigo more.

Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

I've been thoroughly enjoying my online music lessons with Leandro. What stands out to me the most is his thoughtful approach and attention to detail in every aspect of each class and exercise. Leandro goes beyond just providing material; he teaches how to practice it effectively. I particularly appreciate the well-laid-out assignments he provides after each class, which help me stay focused and motivated.
