Hi everyone! This is Maxie, I have been teaching Chinese Mandarin for 4 years. The keywords of my Chinese class are funny, clear, easy to understand, and being able to connected to what you have interested in. I tutored students from USA, NZ, KOR, etc. I speak English , Chinese, Korean, and a little bit of Japanese. I like Danmei, Anime and Manga, traditional culture, all kinds of music, books, and drawings. I always consider myself a 'Octopus' who knows a little acknowledge of almost all aspects, lol! And I'm super outgoing, that means we will be always has some thing to talk about. For my teaching method: I think advantages of studying Chinese with me are listed as follows. As a tutor, I am good helping students to find their expectations and to draw the blueprint of results they will get, so the target will be more clear, and it also works as a booster to encourage students to achieve their goals. I studied Chinese language as side major when I was in college, and I'm also interested in philosophies, so not only for beginners, but high levelers can benefit from my classes too. For that I am professional. And the most important thing, I'm funny! I know learning a language could be hard, and boring sometimes, but making it interesting is also one of my specialty. The current ratings and reviews speak for themselves. Most are 5-star reviews, with a few 4-star reviews and none at a lower rating. She is an amazing teacher with more than a decade of experience. Who truly knows how to tailor a programme to each individual student. In 3 weeks, I've grown from knowing close to no grammar to being able to form proper sentences for everyday use. One aspect I value a lot about her way of teaching is that we apply the grammar not only to every-day situations but also to topics that tailor to my personal life circumstances. I have been convinced that, with the help of Marina, I will be able to grow my Mandarin skills exponentially over the next few months.

It was a pleasure studying classical piano with Xiang and i recommend him as a teacher for piano. Xiang gave me guidance on hand relaxation, horizontal movements, rhytm and other ways of practicing, scales tips, pedalling, fingering and general tips. over few months of (bi)weekly lessons, he gave me guidance on few Czerny pieces and Chopin etude 12 op 10. Xiang can “sight read” some Chopin etudes at the speed that takes me several week to practice, this was amazing and inspiring to observe!:)

Had my first lesson with Cuihong and really enjoyed it. She helped me with basic pronunciation (so good help for a complete beginner like me) and taught me some interesting tidbits. She was also very quick and reliable to answer my mails through Apprentus, and is a friendly person. Looking forward to continuing lessons with her!
