Gita is a professional flutist and teacher, originally from Canary Islands, Spain. She graduated from her bachelor’s degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the highest grade of her class. She studied with professors Kersten McCall, Vincent Cortvrint and Mariya Setmotjuk, flutists from Het Concertgebouworkest. As a pedagogue, Gita is often described as enthusiastic and energetic. Her genuine motivation to teach makes her a very fun tutor, rejoicing with each of her student’s achievements and improvements. She is experienced with both adults and children, beginners, and advanced musicians. Her teaching method varies and adjusts to the students' needs and wishes. She pays special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of her learners. Gita works on both technical and musical aspects in a (very) conscious way, making particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones! The lessons are generally given at Oosterdokskade. If necessary, it is possible to agree on a different location. Students of all ages and levels are welcome to contact her for more information and/or questions that may arise.
