Hi! I am Farhin, and I have been a private tutor since 2012. I have taught students up to middle school, but additionally have been a TA to an English Language teacher for O Levels (British Curriculum) and to an assistant professor at my undergrad university. I am friendly and patient, and maintain clear communication with my students and their guardians (if applicable). I have mainly taught English, Maths and Science, however, I have covered other school subjects too. I work to make the learning experience an enjoyable one, so that both the student and I benefit from the mutual exchange of knowledge. In case my students need emotional and moral support, I happily encourage them to reach out to me. As a part of my role as a tutor, I ensure a respectful and safe environment of interaction. My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL).

I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies.
For the last seven years, I’ve been teaching Spanish in America and Europe to a broad variety of students: children/teenage tutoring, in-company adult students, online orientation and freelance translation for diverse projects.

As a student of human rights and then as a project worker

Currently, I’m a masters student at UW in Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft. I completed a degree in Romance Languages at Duke University (currently ranked 10th in the US and 25th in the world, depending on which ranking you adhere to).
