Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests.
I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process.

Besides being very active as a performing violinist, I have also been teaching children and adults for years with pleasure. I graduated from the conservatory and also graduated as an orthopedagogue and music therapist. As a result, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when working with children/adults who need specific attention. Think of people with autism, giftedness and mild intellectual disabilities. Of course, you are also welcome as an adult with or without additional challenges.
I have 3 children myself, 2 of whom are highly gifted. This has ensured that I teach these children with even more enthusiasm, understanding and patience. It is also possible to indicate in advance in conversation what your child is struggling with and how violin lessons can help with that. I give violin lessons (also viola) for children and adults. During the first lesson we will first get acquainted and I will explain about the posture and we will first make sound. It is important to first learn the basics well (rhythm, reading notes, posture and more), I always give nice songs and if students prefer to learn to play something that is always allowed. If the student can already play then we look together for the repertoire.
It is also important to practice regularly, you don't have to do much, 10 minutes a day works fine as long as it is regular.
I play more classical music myself, but I can of course also play modern well-known songs.
