Private English Tutoring Lessons with a Bilingual English and French Speaker

-My mother tongue language is English and I have a Bilingual diploma in French (over 10 years of schooling in French). I'm currently at Paris Dauphine University for an academic exchange, but I'm from Toronto, Canada. I'm majoring in Finance.
-My goal is to improve students' sentence structuring, vocabulary, and pronunciation of the English language. Depending on the level you're at and what you wish to take away from my tutoring, I will cater my lessons to your needs. I will assign practice exercises and recommend good mediums for further learning.
-This class is targeted towards those who wish to pursue greater fluency in English and who are native French Speakers because I will be able to give examples in French that will help your understanding. If you are just beginning to learn English or struggle with it greatly, I am a very patient and understanding person, so don't worry!

    About Me

I'm someone who is passionate about learning from different perspectives. For this reason I decided to move to Paris for 6 months and learn about the French culture. A long-term goal of mine is to start my own business one day, so I'm majoring in Accounting and Finance at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada; but have lived in Montreal, Rennes, and Toronto over the years.

    Education

    -Bilingual Dogwood Diploma-Sentinel Secondary School
-Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance-Ryerson University (expected graduation 2022)
    -International Exchange-Paris Dauphine University (January 2020-May 2020)

    Experience / Qualifications

I was born and raised in Canada. I know both English and French, which are the two official languages of my country. I have exceptional interpersonal and great public speaking skills, refined through my experience working as a Concierge at Kasa Moto, a high-end Japanese restaurant in Toronto, Canada where I communicate with up to 700 guests on a busy evening. Being able to collaborate effectively with my team is key to success in the industry. Besides my work experience, I have also competed in the 2019 DECA provincials, which is a business case competition where I present my ideas of improving companies to industry relevant judges. Overall, I have the academic qualifications for tutoring English, work, and competition experience with communicating effectively.

Shakespeare Comes to Life in this Dramatic Reading Class
Have you dreamt of reading Shakespeare and making sense of his words ? Did you know that some Shakespearian plays are easier to tackle than others ? In this class we will be looking at one of Shakespeare's fantasy comedies or one of his tragedies. We will read the play together and discuss the usage of words, as well as its historical contexts. We will study the most important passages in the way they have influenced world culture. I encourage my students to memorise these passages by heart, a gratifying experience.

Private lessons, French and English specialty, suitable for young dyslexics
Student in letters and humanities with a C1 level in English, I teach French and English language courses. In addition, holder of a baccalaureate with honors in the scientific section, I am also able to help young people in these areas (maximum college level). My courses can be given face-to-face in Paris or online. The courses must of course be adapted according to each one. The first session makes it possible to identify the needs of the child and clearly identify his shortcomings. In general, bad bases are the source of later difficulties. It is therefore a question of focusing on this at the beginning, then of applying them as soon as possible in parallel with the dynamics of the courses. If we have the time, we can go further than what the courses offer, the objective being to give the student confidence in his abilities and encourage him to move forward independently. In addition, I adapt in a pedagogical way to children affected by dyslexia. Having worked with a speech therapist when I was young, I can help these young people overcome their apprehensions.

Homework help - Private lessons up to BAC level (English - Maths - SES)
Fresh out of 2 years of HEC preparatory classes (ECG ESH Maths), I give private lessons and homework help at all levels in Maths, SES and English. I also obtained the excellent mark of 15.5 in Mathematics 2 ESSEC at the HEC competition. I have an IELTS English level C2. The preparation allowed me to have a certain distance and a global vision on the programs. It also allowed me to be more organized and methodical. I would like to give lessons to my cadets precisely to allow them to benefit from the rigor and methodology acquired in preparation. During these 2 years, I also understood how crucial it was to have understood and acquired the basics and fundamentals of college and high school before being able to consider higher education, and especially when they are demanding such as preparatory classes for large schools. I will therefore be happy to help you/your children. I am patient, passionate and very attentive. I take my work very seriously and your progress very seriously. Rigor, methodology and precision are my watchwords. My participation in the Sciences Po Summer School program allowed me to progress enormously in English: all the courses were in English and the other students were all international, the main language of exchange was English.
