About Me

My name's Harry, I'm a music graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London and a professional musician and guitarist. I started helping my friends learn the guitar when I was a young teen, which sparked my passion for tutoring music / guitar. After gaining more pupils over time I started to build an established following as a teacher in my area. I believe everyone's creative side flourishes at different times to others so I'm very patient and empathetic.

I play the guitar, drums, bass and I sing (although my first instrument is Guitar) I achieved my grade 8 when I was 14, since then I've been teaching to people of all ages, from as young as 4 to as young as 64! I can teach any style, from acoustic, to jazz, to blues, to metal. I can also offer songwriting guidance, coach people how to perform, help encourage and provide advice on issues faced with performing and nerves. I can also prepare my pupils to play live shows, and introduce them to a range of opportunities to play around London. I grouped together 3 students a few years ago, taught them a song and allowed them to perform it live in front of audience. I also offer guidance on Rockschool Grades up to any grade.

I'm 24 years old, and have been playing music since I was 10, sharing my knowledge and experience is something I love to do. I moved to Madrid in 2020 to gain experience teaching in schools and so for the time being I am based in Getafe.

I play in bands of my own, along side being a value member of others. I have played many shows around London, performed on BBC Introducing Radio, Eagle Radio and appeared on TV for London Live on Sky 117 with the band Old Swing. Other than indulging in musical activities, I also enjoy action sports, cooking, photography, weights riding a mountain bike!

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward.

The kind of music you love most will be the focus of the course, their codes and secrets will be the focus of our study, that's what I want to share with you.

We can do technical lessons and simply learn together how to play one or more songs of your choice or mine, enrich your game with this approach and your repertoire!

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Experience:
I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students.
Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method.

My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc.
For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music.

Methodology:
I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals.
