Hé!

Zou je graag die ene track (of meerdere tracks) van Coldplay, John Legend, Elton John, .. willen leren spelen op piano, maar je weet niet waar te beginnen?

Of zou je graag willen leren producen, mixen en masteren met Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Garageband, Logic Pro X, .. om je eigen tracks te maken?

Of zou je graag willen leren hoe een synthesizer werkt en hoe je hier klanken mee kan maken?

Ik kan je helpen! Ik speel intussen zo'n 15 jaar piano na mijn opleiding Pop & Jazz, en heb intussen heel wat optredens achter de kiezen in allerlei genres. Daarnaast heb ik ook een diploma Electronic Music Production behaald bij Point Blank Music School, en ben ik momenteel actief als toetsenist en producer bij de popgroep. Ik speel hoofdzakelijk popmuziek, maar andere genres kunnen we zeker ook bekijken.

Voor pianolessen raad ik 30 minuten aan zodat we elke les nieuwe topics kunnen coveren die je vervolgens thuis kan oefenen. Voor producing/mixing is 60 minuten meer geschikt als je het sneller onder de knie wilt krijgen, maar kan je het zeker ook leren in 30 minuten per les.

Mag ik mijzelf even voorstellen?
Ik ben Marc pianist en sound engineer.
Mijn pianolessen ben ik begonnen bij Leo Caerts jr. Na de middelbare graad piano in het stedelijk muziek conservatorium van Leuven en privéles van Erwin Deleux heb ik de (Russische school) methode gevolgd. Ik ben een leerling van A. Mogilevsky (Leerling van de begaafde prof. Timakin) en Youlia Zaichkina. Ook heb ik aan masterclasses deelgenomen bij o.a. Prof. Alan Fraser en Fabrice Eulry en vervolmaak ik mij in klassieke harmonie en compositie bij Erika Budai.
Ik geef pianolessen klassiek en jazz / pop , jazz harmony , klassiek harmonie en dit voor beginners als gevorderden en alle leeftijden. Hooggevoelige mensen zijn welkom. De lessen worden geven in een zeer professionele omgeving.
Graag wil ik mijn passie met u delen !

Je spendeert vaak tijd achter je computer, geluidsmodules, synths of midi-toestellen om stevige beats, een hypnotiserende groove, dromerige soundscapes of een meeslepend verhaal te creëren. Kortom, je bent gebeten door elektronische muziek. Je wilt je sound tot een hoger niveau tillen maar je blijft met vragen zitten rond bv. de kwaliteit van je sound, live optreden, synthezisers, muziektheorie, verhoging van luisteraars, akoestiek, over je software, etc... Je bent bij het juiste adres als je met dergelijke vragen zit. Ik wil jou graag verder helpen zodat je sneller op weg bent om je muzikale doelen te bereiken en dit op een efficiënte en budgetvriendelijke manier.

Wat bied ik aan?

- Lessen over geluidssynthese (Sound Design) via onder meer synthesizers, drumcomputers en effecten
- Algemene begeleiding/coaching in het overwinnen van de obstakel die samenhangen met producen (vb. kennis over mixen, mastering, modulaire opstelling, muziektheorie, computer/laptop benodigheden, akoestiek en psychoakoestiek, mentale uitdagingen, ...)

Ik ben altijd al gepassioneerd geweest door muziek, ik speel drie instrumenten en ik heb onlangs mijn pianostudie afgerond aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel in de klas van Piet Kuijken. Ik heb altijd gevonden dat het uiteindelijke doel van muziek delen was, en daarom oriënteer ik me sterk op alles wat in groepen wordt gedaan: kamermuziek, orkest, maar ook lesgeven, waardoor ik ook mijn passie kan delen.
Mijn cursus is voor iedereen: wil je helemaal opnieuw beginnen? Geen probleem, ik geef ook lessen in muziektheorie en muziekcultuur die een perfecte aanvulling zullen zijn om je een complete muzikant te maken.
Heb je al les gehad op de academie maar wil je een meer gepersonaliseerde of juist een andere aanpak? Ik bied methodische begeleiding voor elke student en ik pas mijn cursus aan alle profielen aan. Wil je je voorbereiden op een examen (toegang academie of conservatorium)? Ik word jouw persoonlijke coach en investeer persoonlijk in jouw succes.
Mijn cursus is bedoeld voor studenten die techniek en repertoire methodisch willen leren, maar ook voor degenen die willen leren voor de lol of om een specifiek stuk te leren.

Lessen in piano, klavecimbel en historische en moderne cello, met een programma en repertoire dat is aangepast aan de doelstellingen en het tempo van elke leerling, jong, oud of volwassen, voor een algemene introductie tot deze instrumenten, ter voorbereiding op het hoger muziekonderwijs, als aanvullend hulpmiddel voor examens aan muziekacademies, of als hobby, of voor het maken van amateurmuziek in groepsverband, of voor het ontwikkelen van kwaliteiten als concentratie, coördinatie, discipline, uitdrukkingsvermogen, stijlbewustzijn en muziekgeschiedenis.
In mijn lessen vertrouw ik vooral op oude traditionele methoden, boeken en repertoire, die hun efficiëntie in de loop der tijd hebben bewezen. Ik maak ook gebruik van de onderwijstraditie van partimenti van de oude Napolitaanse conservatoria - oefeningen voor het componeren die al vroeg kunnen worden toegepast. Dit voegt niet alleen een creatief element toe, al snel na het begin, maar leert ook via oefening de basisbeginselen van harmonie en polyfonie.
Indien de student dit wenst, kunnen de lessen gecombineerd worden (+30 min.) met theorie/solfege (gehoortraining).

Concernant le contenu du cours je le module en fonction de vos attentes et objectifs.

Je lie systématiquement le travail concret de l'instrument ( Classique, Variété ou Jazz ) avec un apprentissage minimal des éléments de base de la pratique musicale en général : théorie de la musique, formation de l'oreille intérieure, développement de la sensibilité harmonique, mélodique et rythmique, solfège etc... Je peux volontiers aborder tout cela plus profondément à la demande de l'élève, c'est passionnant aussi vous verrez !

La première rencontre sera l'occasion de discuter de tout cela, afin de mettre en place un cadre adopté à votre profil (Jeune enfant débutant, adolescent confirmé, adulte en reprise ou autres...)

Je considère que l'essentiel est de trouver un bon équilibre entre les exigences de rigueur inévitables pour progresser dans l'apprentissage du piano et le plaisir immédiat de jouer de la musique, qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un si bel instrument !

Un fois trouvé, la joie et la bonne humeur sont garanties !

The course method, inspired by the Agostini school (French method used in French and Belgian academies and conservatories) is divided between technique and drums. At the rate of one session each we will focus once on technique and movements outside the drums (on pads) and the other time on the drums and the application of technique and movements.

-> The technique lessons and the movements will be those of the so-called 'Moeller technique' that I learned through his direct lineage of student.
-> The drum lessons are greatly inspired by the pedagogy of the M.A.I. (Music Academy International - Nancy (fr)) and in particular that of Richard-Paul Morellini, renowned instructor.

The courses are complete, in-depth but above all specifically thought of to be progressive. They are suitable for children from 7 years old as well as adults of all ages.

=> Particular attention is paid to the movements and their correct application, to the total independence of the limbs and finally to an understanding of the rhythm and its theory. My main goal is to give the student complete control behind the drums and skills to be able to self-learn any piece in any musical style. 1 hour of weekly lessons are never enough, they should only be used to fuel the passion that will make you play at home more and more.

On demand or for advancs students:
- I am very passionate about the study of South American rhythms. Due to their complexity, apart from the samba and Baïon ostinatos, they are not included in the program before the advanced level. They can be at the request of the student.
- I am also specialized in metal (musical style) and double pedal. The latter is not included in the program unless requested by the student. The double pedal courses are based on the methodology of Virgil Donati.

Technique:
* Moeller technique (the 'whipping motion' - the Free stroke -Full/Half/Low stroke - accepting the rebound - its application etc.)
* Snare rudiments and their applications through reading systems
* Readings of scores and exercises for the snare drum
* Speed drills
* Military marches
* Control of the different subdivisions (quarter notes - eighth notes - triplets - sixteenth notes - quintuplets - sextuplets - triple eighth notes - nonolets etc.)
* Displacement of accents and polyrhythms
* On request, double pedal technique (application of the Moeller to the double pedal as well as everything listed above but with the feet)

Drums:
* Bass drum reading and independance
* Snare drum reading and independance
* Applications of ghost notes
* The 16 sixteenth-notes ostinatos
* Jazz readings and independence
* Binary and ternary readings
* Coordination and movements of both feet
* Dynamics on the instrument
* Creation of fills and original drum grooves
* On request, application of the double pedal
* On request or for advanced students, readings and independence of South American rhythms (study and independence of the clave/Cascara/Mozambique etc.)
