My name is Renee (reh-nay), I am a Singaporean-Chinese girl who is enthusiastic about teaching and giving education to those who needs it. In my opinion, there is nothing more powerful than words, and knowledge.

Here is a little about me:
I have been speaking English for almost all my life. I moved out of China when I was the age of 6, and eversince then, I have been attending schools under the British system with classes offered in fully English. At the age of 15, I moved to Madrid; from then, I have been enrolled into an American School.

To describe myself, I would say I am very patient, calm, organised, and diligent. I always give my best even when I am in difficult situations and in with a tranquil mindset. As the oldest sister in a family, I developed patience through taking care of my young sibling who is 8 years younger than me. I believe these are all character traits well suited for the job of tutoing.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

I am currently a teacher's assistant (TA) for my Anatomy / Chemistry teacher; one of the tasks of a TA is to ensure students from the class are able to catch on with lecture and homework. Once a week, I am responsible of hosting a study session afterschool to help the students that wish to better their grades.
Furthermore, I have experience in tutoring children. From October 2023 to January 2024, I taught English to this Spanish boy (6 years old), and 2 weeks later, his mother reported to me he went from a C, to a B. Guess, what?

My classes are aimed at solving exam problems and other difficult exercises that you may encounter at the University in the following topics in physics:

general physics, classical mechanics, analytical mechanics, waves, optics (ray, wave and Gaussian), electromagnetism (electro and magneto statics) and EM waves, classical field theory, circuits and electronics, modern physics, quantum physics, quantum field theory, special and general relativity, thermodynamics, statistical physics, phase transitions, nonlinear dynamical systems and chaos theory, solid state physics, nanoscience, fluid mechanics, electrokinetics, crystallography, etc

and in mathematics:
general mathematics, linear algebra, analysis, geometry, discrete mathematics, group theory, Galois theory, differential calculus, differential geometry, ordinary and partial differential equations, complex analysis and integration, functional analysis, combinatorics, probability, numerical methods, Fourier-, Laplace-transforms, etc

I can teach mathematics and physics mainly, and I can also help with programming in python and R. Also, English, German and Japanese. I enjoy people having fun while learning and also trying to motivate people is important to teach and learn as a cycle in itself.

I am passionate about teaching, seeing my students advance, achieving their goals and learning everything that is necessary in such a complex society. Since I was little I have been passionate about science, numbers and the physical challenges that were posed to me. That's exactly why I have come up with tricks and alternative ways to explain all these challenges and methods that, at first glance, may seem complicated or even impossible.

On the other hand, I love instruments and all musical theory. From classical music to alternative Rock.

I have also trained in numerous languages and have both a B2 level in English and a basic A2 level of German. At the same time, I am training to obtain the C1 in English.

Because of the degree I am studying, Telecommunications Systems Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, I am acquiring amazing skills in the sciences and everything that has to do with the worlds of mathematics and physics.

After having completed the Bachelor of Science, I can only give one piece of advice to those who are going to get involved in that experience: patience and work, everything comes, these are possibly the years in which you will learn the most, and above all, in which you will acquire the most discipline. regarding studies, and life in general.

Teaching for me has been a vocation since I was little and, in addition, it is financial aid to help finance my higher studies, which as you may know, are quite expensive here in Spain.
