If you're new to auditioning it can be a daunting prospect. The first time I auditioned for drama school I was completely unaware of what to expect. I didn't know anyone who had been and didn't get any help with speeches or songs. It was a disaster and I was thrown out after the first round. Two years later, I reapplied fully prepared this time, and won a scholarship on the three year acting course at Mountview Theatre School. I can help with all aspects of the acting audition process: Vocal/physical warm up Managing nerves Making sure your speeches suit you Working on the text: Understanding - intention - intrepretation - and working towards the required standard for success What to expect at your audition Recreating a pressure environment; The dreaded panel, the waiting and staying calm under pressure I have over twenty years experience as a professional actor, and auditioned hundreds of times across all formats. I have appeared extensively in the West End and toured across the world, as well as being in over 40 TV commercials. As a tutor/director I have worked at Arts Ed, Mountview, Ravenscourt Theatre School. 'Rainer was instrumental in helping me win a place at LAMDA.' Daisy Redgate - LAMDA student. Thea got into ArtsEd! I remember my English lessons as my favourite ones at school. I cherished all my teachers, who shared their love for this delightful language with their students. Their smiles, their passion, kindness and pacience made them the ideal professionals. Today, I'm a teacher and my wish is to be as great as they were with me and to share the love I feel for English with my future students. I'm very fortunate to say that I've been teaching for 5 years and I have students from the age of 8 to 70 and with different levels.During this time I've had lots of fun while working and now I look back and see a suitcase full of loving memories. Welcome!
