My name is Aleksandar and I am 26 years old. I have been playing the violin since I was 5 years old, and currently doing it for more than 20 years already. Giving lessons and teaching violin is one of my most favorite things to do. To see the spark for the instrument in peoples' eyes and share the love for music is a big part of why we become musicians. Everyone who has a question or a wish for making music and playing violin with me is welcome to contact me!

It doesn't matter if you are an absolute beginner, or have already played your instrument for years. In my class, together we will construct a program for quick improvement that would be challenging, methodical, but also fun and collaborative. If you (or your chlild) are a beginner, we will cover all the basics with music theory, solfeggio, and of course violin. It is the most important thing to have a comprehensive and professional start with the instrument, as well as good understanding of how everything works together.

More advanced players are welcome to work with me to improve their music knowledge and advance their technique. I can also help you out with chamber music or orchestral (and orchestral traits) pieces. Or maybe you are just looking to play for fun... Don't hesitate to contact me!

You have to have your own instrument. However, if you are (or your child) a complete beginner - don't worry. Beginning lessons will involve a little bit of theory, singing etc.

My name is Aleksandar and I am 25 years old from Bulgaria. I have been playing the violin since I was 5 years old, and currently doing it for more than 20 years already. I have been in a professional music school from the age of 7, and have always been in the top of my class. I finished the music school with honors when I was 18 years old and received my professional diploma. At the age of 12 I was accepted in the class of the head professor if the violin department in the National Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have finished already there my Master's degree in solo violin with additional chamber music and pedagogy in the top of my class.
I have given solo recitals, concerts as soloist of orchestras and chamber musician all around the world. I have more than 10 prizes from International competitions. Two years ago I was invited as an assistant professor of violin in the National Music Academy on Sofia, Bulgaria. I than decided that I would prefer a change in my life and continue my education here, in Switzerland. I'm currently accepted in the Haute École de Music - Genéve in the class of Tedi Papavrami with orchestra performance.
However giving lessons and teaching violin is one of my most favorite things to do. To see the spark for the instrument in peoples eyes and share the love for music with them is a big part of why we become musicians.. music is for sharing and that is what we do on stage! Everyone who has a question or a wish for trying out making music and playing violin with me is welcome to contact me and I'll try to give my best and share my life's passion!

Education

I have studied violin and music for over 20 years now, starting from the age of 5. I was accepted in the National Music School "Lubomir Pipkov" - Sofia, Bulgaria at the age of 7 and finished it with professional degree and honors at the age of 18. After that I did my bachelor's and masters degree in the National Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria at the top of my class. Currently I'm a Master of Performance - Orchestra student in Haute école de musique de Genève.

Expérience / Qualifications

Master of violin - solo, chamber music and pedagogy. Concerts as a soloist of all Bulgarian orchestras, as well as in Switzerland, Japan, China, Italy, Spain. Chamber music recitals, and solo recitals in almost all European countries and Russia. More than 10 prizes at international competitions. I have given lessons in the private school "Music Play" in Sofia-Bulgaria. Assistant to my professor in the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. I have also worked with high school students, and with youth orchestras in Bulgaria.

As a violinist: I am currently a student at the Geneva University of Music, after having followed the pre-professional course at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. During my career, I won several prizes such as the Vatelot Rampal competition in Paris and the Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland soloist, and string quartet (alongside Julie Berthollet in particular). I also attended the Indianapolis University Academy summer internship.

As a Pedagogue: in addition to sporadically giving individual lessons for 4 years, I was part of the "Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland" youth and youth internship team for three consecutive years.

Overall, my goal is to allow my students to have fun making music, to express themselves as they wish and hear, with their instrument!
I adapt the rhythm of my teaching, my teaching materials, the choice of songs to each, according to the requests that are made to me. My classes can also take the status of personal work support; in this case, students can obviously bring me their scores worked with their main teacher, or those they play in chamber music / orchestra.

In short: The violin is an art, it learns yes, but we play! :)

I am an accomplished classical pianist and experienced teacher who offers you piano lessons, at all levels from beginner to advanced, for fun or for serious ones (preparation for competitions, auditions, exams, etc.).

I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Montreal (Canada) and am also pursuing a second Master's degree at the HEM in Geneva. I also have another Master's degree from the first institution as well as a diploma in performance. My doctoral research focuses on the neuropsychology of music learning and its applications in performance.
