Hi

I'm a Dutch drummer based in Brussels since 2015 and I have been teaching drums since 12 years.
From September 2023 I will be teaching at the Conservatory of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

I would be very happy to share my passion and knowledge of drums and music with you. I'm open to work with an individual approach to the taste of every student. Like that I can make a learning plan for each student, always adapting towards the goals we set together.

Topics can be different music styles, improvisation, technique etc.

I can teach in my own studio in the centre of Brussels or come to your place.

Classes are in English or Dutch.

Présentation

Daniel, 1993 born in Geleen (The Netherlands) is a Brussels based drummer. He is very active in the music scene in and outside of Brussels since moving there in 2015. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Conservatory of Maastricht in 2016 with Ron Van Stratum and Arnoud Gerritse and he finished his Master of Music with, among others, Stéphane Galland, Kris Defoort and John Ruocco in 2018.

In 2014 he won the EU Jazz Young Talent Award. Words from the jury:“ Daniel took our attention by his way warded choices, great timing and impressive dynamics.

In 2018 he won the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels together with Federico Stocchi for most outstanding musicians finishing their studies.

The Newspaper “ The Limburger” in The Netherlands called Daniel “a rhythmic painter in Europe’s capital with roots from Limburg” in a special article about him in 2019.

Daniel performs in all kinds of bands with many different constellations where either he co-composes/arranges music for or is active as a sideman.

Some currently active bands are: Aligaga, Nicolas Thys “Sound Circus”, Nabou Claerhout’s Trombone Ensemble, Louise van den Heuvel “Sonic Hug” and Lennert Baerts “Profound Observer & Bert Joris”.

Graduated with a Master's degree in clarinet from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, a Didactic Master's degree in clarinet and a didactic master's degree in musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, I propose to give you lessons at all levels of clarinet and/or musical training. I also offer piano lessons to beginner students.
I am available every day and move to your home at your convenience.
Depending on the level and age of the students, the duration of my classes vary between 30 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

Violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the IMEP of Namur, I give violin lessons at all levels, all ages, from 5 years old for children.

With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake.
Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis.

An instrument lesson usually lasts one hour. If necessary, I can cut the time between Violin and Musical Training / History.

My rates are 29/hour at my home (Schaerbeek), 35 if I travel.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

Hi! I’m Lucia, classical cellist from Madrid. I studied with international te known teachers as N. Shakhovskaya and D. Geringas, and I was working in Spain with the Spanish Radio TV orchestra, Spanish National Orchestra, OSPA, and contemporary music ensemble Plural Ensemble. Also I have teaching experience since 12 years, having worked privately and in Centro Superior Katarina Gurska.
I also play piano, I studied it since I was 3-4 years old because my father is a pianist and he was teaching me.

Concernant le contenu du cours je le module en fonction de vos attentes et objectifs.

Je lie systématiquement le travail concret de l'instrument ( Classique, Variété ou Jazz ) avec un apprentissage minimal des éléments de base de la pratique musicale en général : théorie de la musique, formation de l'oreille intérieure, développement de la sensibilité harmonique, mélodique et rythmique, solfège etc... Je peux volontiers aborder tout cela plus profondément à la demande de l'élève, c'est passionnant aussi vous verrez !

La première rencontre sera l'occasion de discuter de tout cela, afin de mettre en place un cadre adopté à votre profil (Jeune enfant débutant, adolescent confirmé, adulte en reprise ou autres...)

Je considère que l'essentiel est de trouver un bon équilibre entre les exigences de rigueur inévitables pour progresser dans l'apprentissage du piano et le plaisir immédiat de jouer de la musique, qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un si bel instrument !

Un fois trouvé, la joie et la bonne humeur sont garanties !

Je m'appelle Marie et je suis étudiante en Master au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Marie Hallynck et Francis Mourey.

Depuis que j'ai décidé de m'engager professionnellement dans la musique, l'enseignement m'a toujours beaucoup attirée. J'ai la chance d'avoir plusieurs élèves, à la fois en violoncelle et en solfège, enfants comme adultes. La transmission de la musique par l'apprentissage est quelque chose qui me passionne et me tient à cœur.

Je souhaite que les cours de violoncelle soient un plaisir pour l'élève, qu'il y joue des œuvres qu'il aime et y découvre de nouveaux horizons ! Mon but est qu'il soit à l'aise avec son instrument. J'adapterai mon enseignement à son niveau, ses objectifs et ses envies.

Je peux aussi donner des cours de soutien à des personnes étudiant dans une académie. Par ailleurs, j'enseigne le solfège.
