English is a universal language and as a native speaker, I can offer you a comfortable environment to learn or improve on the language. My classes are tailored to suit your learning requirements and are fun and interactive.

We work at your pace and I offer additional homework or other learning tasks. Lesson plans are specific to your needs. Additionally, i offer proof-reading services of any work and assist with research or homework.

I have 15 years experience in an academic environment and continue to tutor courses online. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy interacting with people.

I have recently relocated from South Africa to the Netherlands.

Working to develop people in language skills and opening up new opportunities for them is a personal interest.

Having spent 15 years in an academic environment, I have developed teaching skills and expertise for various levels of learning. I have lectured different transport and logistics courses, written course material and supervised research projects up to Masters level to completion. Furthermore, I am a published author in accredited academic journals and have presented at international conferences. I am also a tutor for online courses.

In South Africa, English is often the second, third or even fourth language of many students and I had to adapt my teaching to cater for all levels of English competency. While this was especially difficult with scientific terminology, I evolved my teaching style from read and write to understand and apply.

I consider myself to be a friendly, approachable person and find it easy to engage with people. Teaching is one of my passions and beyond my full-time employment, I taught reading and writing skills at a home for orphan and destitute children. I also assisted with school projects and provided guidance, motivation and emotional support.

As a person who is also in the process of learning a new language in a new country, I can identify with the challenges and experience on a personal level.
