I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I am motivated and pro-active and enjoy working with people to reach their goals. Alongside making sure that whatever goals the student has in mind are achieved, my main focus is making sure that each lesson is enjoyable and to ensure that we have a consistent level of communication (with the student or parent) to figure out the best approach for both of us. Most importantly, I aim to make the lessons fun. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities. Whether you're a total beginner or someone who wants to continuing their learning, I'm happy to help. I have experience with entering students for exams, if that is something you'd like to do. I've have a BMus Hons in Jazz Saxophone and am a performer as well as a teacher. During my oboe lessons, enjoying music is central. The double reed plays an important role in both the sound and the ease of playing the oboe. I make sure there is always a reed that plays nicely. In addition, I will pay a lot of attention to the way of blowing. This is the basis that ensures that the students can have fun and make music right from the start. . Making music together is the best thing there is, so I like to play along with the students in a duet. I guide advanced students in developing their (musical) creativity and, if they wish, I offer reed lessons.
